Food was excellent, although a little slow, service was great, our host was sweet and helpful.
Major disappointment from the beginning. We ordered 2 beers, a water, bruschettta appetizer, and 2 burgers. Spouse asked for... medium well (Underground steak burger) and I asked for medium rare ( Broadway burger). The description of my burger was spicyraspberry bacon jam and hot cheese. I never had the bacon jam before and was looking forward to trying this. We were asked howwe would like them cooked when we ordered. His was medium rare and mine was well done. Not how we had ordered at the beginningof the order. No spice at all to my burger, asked for hot sauce to compensate. They put labeled toothpicks in the burgers (inphotos) for the doneness of which burger is what. So, I am clear that this was a cooking misstep. Spouse asked for another beerwhen we got the burgers. I never got the water I asked for and, we never received our appetizer. We let the server know this soit could be removed from the bill. When I did get the bill, pic attached, there was a charge for 4 beers, not 3 which was whatwas ordered. You can also see how the wrong cooking requests were on the bill. Very disappointed for the hype we were givenprior to arrival. I am willing to let some things slide but 4 issues is a big deal for me. Anyone that has read my previousreviews of other establishments knows that I am fair when it comes to thing and I am willing to go back and try again. First, I want to say that Susan, the server at the grille is so sweet, helpful, and amazing! If we were reviewing purely on her... service, this would be a five star review. However, my friend ordered a ?peach martini? which the texture of can only bedescribed as ?sandy.? It was almost coarse, and did not taste well. We simply asked our server if we could swap out the drinkfor something else, and she responded that she would check for us. Moments later the manager named Karen approached our tableand essentially berated my friend. Rather than being a courteous and accommodating professional, she stated, ?We include theingredients to each drink for a REASON,? among very other unkind statements. We honestly all just sat in shock. I?ve never beenin an establishment that approached its diners in this manner. It?s safe to say we will not return to this restaurant. It?s ashame? it?s in the heart of Jim Thorpe and they have a nice ambience and location! Karen?s attitude truly ruined our experienceat this restaurant, and to be honest, our afternoon. Read more
Food was great. The waitress was really nice and accommodating and not rude or impatient like at alot of places. They have a... nice BBQ special, got the chicken and shrimp BBQ.. delicious smokey flavor. The drinks were excellent.. Don't remember the nameof the cocktail but it had bourbon and some type of house made berry simple syrup, perfect combination of strong yet flavorful,sweet, and tart. If your in Jim Thorpe this has to be one of the best options to get some quality food and drinks. Read more
Potential is there for this place but missing the mark on a few details. They give you fancy cloth napkins but plastic Dixie... cups. The chicken tender on the sandwich was huge - maybe close to 3/4" thick - and this resulted in it being hard to eat on asandwich and a little dry. The turkey sandwich was ok but the turkey was cold. Pickles, regular and sweet potato fries weregood. Hostess was not the most friendly person I've met. Read more
Came here today with my daughter and MIL. We loved it, we got the Parmesan truffle fries? those are to die for! Absolutely... delicious. Next time I?m gonna get the pork nachos. I took a picture of the drink I ordered, the merry mimosa. It was almost toocute to drink. The staff was very nice as well. Read more
A nice place to eat with varying seating choices! Food was quickly delivered after ordering and tasted fantastic. They also seem... to have outside, first floor, and second floor seating for food. I also have a nice selection of seasonal drinks and tapchoices. Read more
Ate several meals here - both breakfast and dinner - while staying at the attached inn. The food was wonderful, the drink... selection and drinks themselves were both great, decor, vibe, atmosphere, all much appreciated.
