One of the best if not THE BEST place to get traditional Italian food here in John?s Creek the servers are amazing and help you... out with everything if you have any questions about the food and are all well trained staff the Owner Mike is more thanexceptional words cannot even describe how great of a man he is. He will walk around talk to the customers get to know you andask you about how the food is and makes sure that everything you order is delicious and even has great deals like Wine downWednesday getting a bottle for less than half price at $15-$20 and the specials They have throughout the week and weekends arealso something everyone needs to try. I will for sure be a supporter of this Restaurant for a very long time because there isnothing around the metro Atlanta area that can beat this place with their food from the very good prices to amazing portioningand just the overall quality of the whole restaurant to make it feel like you?re at home. If you could smell this right now, you would drop everything and reserve the next available table at Rosa Mia, before these... amazing black truffles run out. The chef popped out to show us the beautiful truffle, and he may have been more excited aboutmaking this dish than I was about eating it, if that?s possible. The amount of shaved truffles was so generous you?d bet we?vebeen friends forever. And if you think I didn?t sop up every last drop of that creamy panna sauce seasoned with truffle infusedsalt, then you?re mad! Rosa mia, Rosa mia to start the super friendly waitress. She explained to us which were the most requested pastas and her... favorites. We ordered a carpaccio, it was scrumptious, she loved her. I ordered a chicken fettuccini pasta, with pomodorosauce and breadcrumbs. I loved this pasta. I loved the super fresh flavors. but I will talk about the carbonara, it did nottaste like carbonara, I think they went too far from black pepper, the pasta tasted too much like black pepper. Loved this cute little Italian restaurant. I ordered Eggplant Parm and Mushroom Ravioli! Loved both the dishes and their entree... salad...cute place for a cozy dinner night or a quick lunch with your colleagues. There are wait times at nights, you may haveto call ahead. We?ve wanted to try this place for a long time so I picked this restaurant to have dinner with our friend there. Maybe after... reading so many great reviews about this place our expectations were too high, but we had a terrible experience. I bet thateveryone who gave 5* to this restaurant never ever have tried good, authentic Italian food. Our waiter didn?t know anythingabout any dish and when we asked a few things about the menu he was just looking everywhere like the answer was written on thewalls. The polip we wanted to order wasn?t available. Then we went for the mussels?first he said that wasn?t available either(he said it?s too expensive nowadays???) but then came back saying it was? BTW I don?t know why can?t they just print out freshmenus from time to time including dishes they actually have. We were still eating our appetizers when the waiters alreadybrought the main courses. How can someone be so inattentive? We were basically the only guests at that time, can?t they justtake a look and see that we aren?t ready for the next course yet and wait a bit? My husband and our friend ordered two differentdishes but they were basically the same: the same meat, same pasta (our friend said it tasted like something taken out of a box,not freshly made), only the sauce was different. My carbonara was ok, hence the 2*. Oh and then the dessert. There was a bombosomething on the menu and I asked what that was and the guy had no idea at first but then he said it was ice cream. I didn?twant ice cream so ordered limone tartufo which was a joke (only I wasn?t laughing). It was a simple, low quality lemon icecream. I also don?t understand why they don?t have a short explanation of the desserts on the menu when clearly the waiterdoesn?t know much either. All in all it was an awful experience and a waste of money, and I feel terrible for suggesting thisplace for dinner with our friend. Read more
