Even... though I live in Vermont - when I want to feel like I am on vacation - and I have errands in Johnson, VT - I drive down. In theWinter a lovely slice of quiche with a cup of good, dark roast coffee - all served on exquisite china - is the break I need! Andin the summer they have great salads and vegie dishes from their gardens - - its just a lovely, fairytale place to take a break!And all of my friends who come up from the New York and Boston area, love it!!! This is a charming little gem tucked into the countryside outside of Johnson, VT! Late afternoon on a beautiful October day and... the pleasant grounds and lovely teahouse were so beautiful and inviting that my husband and I stopped to have a warm drink.However, the sweets looked so good, that we splurged! We had a delicious cheese plate and then a pot of English breakfast teawith a slice of raspberry linzer torte and a slice of cherry marzipan cake. The cakes were absolutely scrumptious and madein-house. We chatted with the owners a bit, and they were lovely people and cat lovers. They also have a cottage on Airbnb, andseveral adorable chubby cats! Read more
