I ordered catfish & jumbo shrimp combo. Food was cold, slaw was warm cocktail & tartar sauce warm. I was staying at the hotel... across the street and before I could check in the food I did consume was left in the parking lot. Don't eat here. 3 people sickfor $65+ tip.What happened? Oh my goodness, we had a delicious lunch here today! We live in Abingdon,Va and had been missing our Harbor House since it... closed at exit 19. The food today was even better than I remember at the Abingdon location! We had the Alaskan white fish andpopcorn shrimp lunch special which comes with slaw, hush puppies and baked potato (this was always our favorite Harbor Housemeal). Our waitress was super nice and we appreciated that they had Christian music playing on the speakers in the dining room.The restaurant was so clean! Our family will be back often! Read more

Called ahead to let them know there would be about 15 for lunch. Received a rude "we don't take reservations". 17 arrived.... Several were already seated so we asked if it was possibly to move to a larger table and add a small table. Server said he'd askthe manager. He came back and said the manager said no. Food was good, service was good but not very friendly and the lack ofcustomer help was TERRIBLE! Would never go here again simply due to lack of concern for the customers. Usually my favorite seafood restaurant. Last time the breading fell off the fried shrimp before it got to the table and this... time the host put the menu and silverware down on a dirty table while an industrious young man was carefully cleaning othertables. I didn't sit down but nobody noticed. I left and went to my second choice restaurant. Read more

They have Christian rock playing very loudly. The fish had a heavy oily taste from the cooking oil. My husbands popcorn shrimp... was better. We use to love this place but since Covid it is not the same. Our server was very nice. Their slaw is stillgood. If you had not been there before you might think it is fine. When you have a certain expectation and it is not the same itis disappointing. Hope they get back to their old self. Read more

Been here twice over the last 6 months, food couldn't be better unless you was at the coast getting it fresh. Waitress's have... been great both times, more food than I can eat, excellent $$ value in today's times. Looking forward to going back again nexttime I overnight stay in Johnson City. Read more

I was craving for seafood and it is one of the places to go in town. I ordered Broiled Flounder with special seasoning and rice... pilaf. It was a great combo. The fish didn't have a lot of taste until I put some salt and that spicy mayo sauce they usuallyserve with crab cake. The sweet potato was actually cooked perfectly. The serving size of the food was great. The waiter wasfriendly and gave us a lot of options. The ambiance of the place was fine. If there is one thing to improve, it's the flavor ofsome food.
