Was so glad to stumble upon this gem. We were absolutely stuffed when we left, the food was AMAZING and worth every penny! My... fiancé got the kitchen sink with beans and cornbread and I got the BLT club. coffee was fine. food was fine. i felt like it took too long for my food to come out considering it was just a burger and fries.... but it has a lot of charm and character and it reminds me of the days before all the chains took over, when restaurants all hadtheir own thing going on and it was like meeting a new person. thats what pennyman's is like. Great little place in Johnson City. Stopped in for breakfast 23AUG21 and has a Kitchen Sink omelet. Very good. Great service.... Nice to see a 20ish year old family owned diner in Johnson City. The food here is delicious. It's a local greasy spoon diner, and a phenomenal one at that. Go in expecting down-home cooking... and you won't be disappointed. The staff is friendly, but you may have to wait longer than a chain restaurant, which is fine byme since striking up a conversation with other customers is easy to do here. Read more
