We were headed back home to Austin and saw the West Henly Boil Shack so we decided to stop in for lunch. This place is great.... The atmosphere and the staff are awesome with good food to back it up. I recommend checking the Shack out if you're passing byor in the area during meal time. Read more

Food all came out hot and fresh. Boudin link was the best I?ve eaten locally. Reminded me of the real deal boudin of Louisiana.... Shrimp were covered in a light batter so you could still taste the shrimp and the catfish in a course southern cornbread batter.Hush puppies just a hint of a kick and buttermilk pie was delicious. I see road trips to visit again in the near future. Read more

Food is awesome, atmosphere is super relaxing, you can enjoy a cigar and cold beers under the tree shades after filling up on... delicious grub. And the motorcycle ride there is nice too. Definitely a must visit place with the family and friends. Read more

Support local. This place is really cool, it's way out from Austin, thank God. They have an incredible menu, the red beans are... on point. Fried pickles were excellent. Hush puppies had a jalapeño bite. The atmosphere is really cool. They have limitedseating inside, but they have fans and misters. Read more

2 1/2 stars this time. The place has a cajun setting and is a very nice restaurant. I have been here once before, several years... ago, and enjoyed it that time. The staff are good and service was great. But my dinner was kinda "blah". Very bland. I had thecatfish, hush puppy's, fries, and red beans - rice on the side. The fish was overcooked and greasy. Hush puppy's and beans-ricehad no flavor. The fries were good. I rarely go out to eat for dinner and this was a letdown this time. Read more

This place is awesome on every level. It?s a cool venue with great atmosphere inside and out. Inside has AC and TVs and outside... feels like one of those fun crawfish boil parties you get invited to. The menu had quite a few Cajun focused items that are notthe same thing on every other local menu like gumbo and sausage you can add to your shrimp boil. Their fried pickles may be someof the best we?ve had and are served with house made (tasting) ranch. Yum! Shrimp and potatoes were cooked perfectly as waseverything in the fried combo basket. Nice selection of beers. Limited wine choices and no hard liquor. Staff was friendly andservice was quick with a medium sized crowd. So happy to find this cool spot just as the weather is turning cooler and footballseason is rolling. We?ll be here a lot! Read more
