If you like chicken sandwiches, you need to go to Charlotte?s kitchen! Amazing is the only word I?ve got. The breading on the... chicken is absolutely perfect, the chicken inside is juicy and very flavorful. Good cheese curds and good fries! Cute decorinside their space, they have a grandma?s pantry which you could buy items (bring cash) and they donate to local charities fromthat! Great concept. Can?t wait to try them again! Read more

O M G! This restaurant is amazing! This was my first time here. My best friend brought me here for lunch today as she frequents... this restaurant often. I just moved back to Iowa after living in Dallas, Texas for 9 years. Hands down the BEST chicken sandwichI have ever had! I got the crab rangoon chicken sandwich combo. The breaded chicken was so moist and the breading was light andcrispy with amazing flavor. Absolutely delicious! The fries were perfectly cooked and amazing as well. I could eat here everyday! The staff was friendly and helpful and very polite. The inside is warm and welcoming with booths as well with really coolpicnic table-style tables and benches. We came at lunchtime around 12:30 and they were busy as expected both inside and in thedrive-thru. They are quick and our food came to our table within 5 minutes. Hot, fresh, and delicious! 5 Stars! Great job! Ifyou are in Des Moines, take the time to stop by, you won?t be disappointed! I can?t wait to go back and try everything! TheGrandma Wall of Fame is so cute and sweet! The Nashville fried chicken was fantastic! The cheese curds were just a little under fried but the fries were perfect. If you?re looking for good quality chicken sandwiches, I would highly recommend Charlotte?s Kitchen in Johnston. Only had drive... thru open as they are remodeling done inside but the line moved fairly fast on a Saturday evening. Ordered the original chickensandwich combo and the BBQ chicken sandwich and loved both! Can?t wait to go back and try the weekly special. Read more
Wow, this place really blew me away. I know it\'s just chicken sandwiches, but it was SO SO good! First of all, I\'m not a huge... fried chicken fan so I wasn\'t expecting to be wowed. In the past when I\'ve had really crispy fried chicken, the coating wastoo hard or too crispy so that it cut the roof of my mouth. Other times, the fried batter didn\'t have much seasoning on it andit was bland. But this fried chicken was crispy yet tender. It had great seasoning on it, too. I was very impressed.\n\nI gotthe crab rangoon chicken sandwich and my husband got the Nashville hot sandwich. We were both looking for something that wassweet and spicy. Mine wasn\'t spicy but it was sweet with good flavor. My husband\'s sandwich was spicy but not sweet. We bothagreed that if they combined the sauces from our two sandwiches it would be perfect. I\'m going to see if they\'ll do that forme next time. The presentation and execution was excellent. We also didn\'t have to wait very long. They came out fast and theywere piping hot. The fries were excellent, too. They were thick and had a very crunchy coating.\n\nMy rating is 4.5 stars.Everything was great except for one thing. The guy behind the counter charged me for a combo which includes the sandwich, friesand a fountain drink. I just wanted water from the fountain machine instead of getting a bottle of water. So I paid $1.54 extra.I didn\'t realize the extra charge until after I started eating so I didn\'t say anything. I\'m going to just chalk it up to amisunderstanding and I\'ll say something if it happens again.\n\nThis place is definitely one of our new favorites and we\'reglad we finally got around to trying it.
