We were in town for a sporting event and my family always wants sushi for dinner ???? and I love ramen. When I can find a... restaurant with both... Yay for me! There were 5 of us. We were super hungry. We ordered two poke bowls, shrimp Rangoon, a squidsalad, miso soup, and two house salads. The poke bowls were loaded with deliciously fresh tuna. It was so good! The shrimpRangoon were good. I didn't really notice the difference between the shrimp and regular crab Rangoon. The sauce was meh. It wasjust the typical sweet chili sauce. I didn't get to try the squid salad but my son and husband raved about it. My daughter andI's house salads were really fresh and good. I enjoyed the ginger dressing. It was not the typical peach colored stock gingerdressing. For our entrees my husband, son, and daughter ordered 6 rolls and some sashimi. They said they were all super good. Mymother-in-law ordered the chicken fried rice and it was very good. My husband ordered the beef udon he said he really liked theflavor of the beef. I ordered the black garlic tonkatsu Raman. It was okay. It was honestly kind of bland. I didn't get thedepth of flavors I enjoy with tonkatsu broth. The pork belly was perfection. My egg was over cooked. Wasabi is a do not miss! We felt welcome the moment we walked in. The atmosphere and the music is very comforting and relaxing.... Their menu is quite extensive and definitely has something for everyone. We had sushi, which I am very picky about, and it wasabsolutely amazing. Very fresh and beautifully prepared. Is for a dessert, make sure you get the tuxedo bomb!!! As a full-timetraveler, there are lots of places and restaurants we visit. Wassabi is definitely one I would come back to again and again. Absolutely gorgeous indoor setting. They also have an outdoor dining area as well. I ordered the Sashimi Dinner and it was... delightful! And customer service was absolutely amazing. Quick and friendly. Definitely going back for more! Read more
Our server Carrie was absolutely amazing - one of the best I’ve ever had ever. And Shane as well, I went to the bar to eyeball... the draft beers, he came up and described all the beers, and paired me with the 515 brewing seasonal, it was great. Don’t evenget me started on the sushi, 3 of us tried the biggest platter and finished it all. 5 stars isn’t enough, keep it up WasabiJohnston???? Read more

Stopped in the Des Moines area for lunch. Wasn’t sure what to expect but I wasn’t expecting something this good. Ramen was... just as good as in Tokyo. Sushi was wonderful as well. Service fantastic and the ambiance / decoration were on point creating areal relaxing atmosphere. Read more
My go to is a spicy tuna roll and was so disappointed. Tried other things and was not impressed at all.
