My original review is listed below in fairness. But today I stopped at my so-called favorite restaurant West of the Mississippi.... The waitress took my order, then forgot my order, then came back 15 minutes later and asked me for it again. When my mealfinally arrived, my eggs that I had ordered scrambled we're runny in the middle and undercooked. So I sent it back to be cookedup. I got the eggs back, and when I cut into them they were still runny in the middle. Then I cut into my hamburger steak thatI had ordered pink in the middle, and it was practically uncooked. At this point I sent the whole order back, offering to payfor my coffee. They declined to bill me for my coffee and I left. It was also VERY DISTURBING hearing the cook screaming out atthe waitresses. I will not be returning to this restaurant. Here was my original five-star review that I haveresended: Clean, comfortable and great food and service. Best breakfast in Colorado! Biscuits and gravy best I've had West ofthe Mississippi. Coffee is outstanding too. 5 stars Read more

The staff was friendly and offered good service. The place has a very inviting atmosphere. The food however was bland and lack... luster at best. The cinnamon rolls are huge in size, but really lacking in flavor. Without the icing they are mostly tasteless. Biscuits and gravy was ok. The Biscuits are great but the gravy also lacked much flavor. Read more

A MUST if your in the area! This restaurant/truck-stop has plentiful parking on all 4 sides of the building, is clean provides... FANTASTIC simple fare like your mother or grandma used to make on Sunday mornings. The service was attentive as multipleservers worked together making sure your mugs and glasses were full at all times. Read more

Down to earth comfy place. The chef salad wasn?t really to my liking, it had a bunch of green peppers and other toppings without... much salad. Somebody else might really enjoy it being this way though. Read more

Went here with some local family members. Ordered their ?famous? cinnamon roll, 3 club sandwiches with fries, BLT with fries and... a cob salad. The cinnamon roll was over cooked, dried out and covered in a sugary frosting. The frosting has almond flavoring init, but it didn?t help. The cinnamon roll didn?t really have good cinnamon flavor. We were really disappointed for a $5 cinnamonroll. To make them better and for that price, don?t over bake them, and use a cream cheese frosting. The sandwiches were ok. Theclub was so thick I could barely eat it. Tasted fine. Fries were under cooked, could have been better. Salad was ok, would havebeen nice to have done greens in it. The ranch dressing was meh, the blue cheese dressing tasted funny. Will try to go back totry breakfast items. Read more
