Food was fantastic. Took about an hour and a half for our entree to come out but it was also a busy night. Definetly recommend.
This was our second visit to Sam's we had the mushroom swiss burgers which were cooked to perfection a perfect medium rare just... like we asked for. They were juicy and beefy just like you would want out of a good burger not to mention they were a whopping9oz. We had the seasoned fries which I think had a light batter on them they crisp on the outside and billowy on the inside.This place is a gem the prices were great. I have been here multiple times. This is a decent steak house and service is good. The menu is ok but I struggle to find a... variety of meals I would try. I would like to see more variety but this is simply a wish list. They have a full service barand cocktail menu. The cocktails they used to have were better. I tried most of their new ones but nothing great. Bring backthe Crocodile Cooler...again my wish list. I will dine here again and it's one of the better restaurants in the area. Read more
A little bit bummed. The steak tough. The clam risotto was too salty and the "fried cheesecake" had zero mention of it being... banana cheesecake. Seafood chowder was good and the wait staff was nice. Read more
Food and service was excellent, restuarant was exceptionally clean and staff was helpful knowledgeable and very kind
Came into town to visit and decided to give this place a shot. We ordered the Delmonico (medium well) with a side of rice,... broccoli (the entree automatically comes with a small salad and a roll), an open face steak sandwich, crab cakes and sweetpotato fries. When we got back home, we realized we didn?t get the broccoli or the sweet potato fries and we didn?t get areceipt so i don?t know if they charged us for these items or not. We didn?t give it much of a thought so we continued to openeverything and then i found this random steel item on top of the steak. My guess is that it?s part of the grill or the toolsthey have in the kitchen. I?m so happy i looked over my steak before i ate it bc i could only imagine if i would of ingestedthat or damaged my teeth while biting. The only reason i gave it 2 stars is because the rest of the food was ok but sadly iwon?t return based of this experience. Read more
This was probably the best meal Ive had in the area. The restaurant choices in Jo1hnstown are a little limited (if you don't... want to go chain food). I had chicken marsala which was very tender and flavorful. Salad was good and the place was clean andwelcoming. Read more
