Our experience here was quite the mixed bag. Some of the food was absolutely delicious and some was so bad we spit it out. For... instance, the fried calamari appetizer was atrocious. Most of the pieces tasted old and gummy. And the clam chowder, while notbad, is more of a potato soup than a clam chowder. It didn?t have the rich thickness and there were barely any clams, though Imust?ve had at least two whole potatoes. Again, it didn?t taste bad, but it wasn?t what I ordered. The fried shrimp, though, wasamazing: light and crispy, with just the right amount of spice. And the boil we got was tasty as well, with the lobster tailbeing a particular delight. But all the sides were very middling and the potatoes were a little undercooked. And the serviceleave much to be desired. They weren?t rude, but we were essentially ignored after ordering. With the food being so hit-or-miss,I don?t think we?ll be trying it again. Read more
Excellent!!!! Normally take pix of our food for reviews but this time we were so distracted by the amazing aroma we couldn?t... wait to dig in. Ordered on a whim for my son?s birthday. He wanted a lobster roll and this is where we found it. So glad wedid!! His lobster roll was excellent. Also ordered the Tuesday special and the Weekend. Shrimp was big! None of those ittybitty things. Food was fresh and worth every penny. In this day and age post pandemic it was absolutely refreshing to enjoysuch an amazing meal. I was there a while ago and the food was good. This time it was just unbelievable to open up a box that's a supposed chicken... tender meal and it only has two pieces and some fries. Really!?! I know the inflation is hitting places but, to go as far asonly two pieces of chicken for the price!!!! ???????????????????????????????? Our server Brittany was 5 stars ????, she was attentive, friendly and conversational but not intrusive. I LOVED my meal of Cajun... rice & shrimp, which exceeded my expectations. We also ordered the Thursday special which included shrimp & snow crab. Thespecial was very good as well. I had the Coronarita to drink and it was worth the price. I normally do not enjoy seafood boilplaces, but this one was excellent. I will definitely be back. Read more
Pretty good actually. Felt was small on the portion. The beverage right on for flavor and presentation. Overall slow service,... which if not by yourself would have been acceptable. By myself waiting on the drink that long, not even water. Food was okflairs great, shrimp was hard to peel (undercooked a bit) and 1/4 of clams unopened. Must say to begin with I am skeptical of any seafood restaurant not located near an ocean. However Red Crab came through. I... had the weekend special $37 (Lobster,shrimp and snow crab) with the hot garlic butter seasoning. Needless to say it wasdelicious, not overpowering on the seasoning but still had a nice kick. My wife had the shrimp and snow crab combo $26 and sheenjoyed hers also. Couple of drinks which were on the strong side. Not complaining. Service was great as well. Definitely willbe back. Read more
Went back the next weekend 87/2021 completely different experience, the waitress checked on us multiple times and the other one... was no where to be found. Great food, great service! 7/31/2021 The person who greeting us was very friendly, set us down,there was no wait and she even complimented me on my outfit. We ordered and the food, there was not a long wait beforereceiving it. All the food, shrimp, crab legs, corn, muscles, and potatoes had a lot of flavor and the seasoning on everythingwas just right, extremely tasteful! Only problem we had was our waitress never checked on us for anything. I saw her check onher one other table with four people at least 3 times (actually more). She brought our drinks, took our order and never cameback. Someone else brought the bucket for shells, the bib, etc., and explained what everything was that she'd given us. Nexttime I'll listen and use the bib but I can't eat with plastic gloves on but I see why you need them, lots of flavor in thebuttom for dipping which becomes messy. When we wanted a refill we eventually had to ask another waitress since our waitresschoose not to acknowledge us after taking our order. We did notice that she got a large table after we were there eating for 45minutes, why she didn't come back to check on us I DON'T KNOW! I did see her check on her third table several times as well butagain not us. She received a tip but not what we'd usually give (we understand how important tips are but you also have to giveus service), the remainder of her tip was given to the other waitress who saw we were being neglected and checked on us a coupleof times and went to tell our waitress to get us refills. I have been looking for a good seafood restaurant where I can create my own seafood bag. Since I was nervous about the taste and... freshness of the shellfish I only picked 1/2lbs of black mussels, 1/2lbs of headless shrimp and one lobster tail with mild Cajunseasoning. The bag came with only 2 small potatoes and 1 half corn in it which I believe is not enough if you think about themoney I paid for 1 bag of seafood, I definitely suggest to be more generous on the sides they put in those bags. Also, thelobster tail was the smallest lobster tail I have ever eaten! Really!!! The Cajun seasoning was delicious. I had cocktail shrimpas an appetizer but didn't like it. Waitress had very limited knowledge about the menu, we kind of got nervous every time we askquestions to her about the options. She might be new. I will continue with my search for a restaurant where I can get seafoodbag since I believe this restaurant is overpriced and you get very small portions for the price you pay. Read more
