I was disappointed by this experience. At 2 o'clock on a Sunday, the dining room was pretty empty. But it took a while to even... get our drinks. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but it was cooked very inconsistently. My chimichanga was toughand borderline overcooked. Everyone's rice was visibly undercooked. I ordered the seafood chimichanga, which was described ashaving shrimp and crab. I expected whole shrimp and canned crabmeat. For some reason, they chopped the shrimp (sacrilege ????)and the "crab" was actually "krab": imitation crab meat made of pressed white fish. Not impressive for an $11 entreè. I wouldhave let our server know about the rice at least, but he never checked in after we dug into our food. In fact, we didn't see himat all after our food was delivered, not even for refills. What a shame. $50 for 2 adults and a child's burger that consisted ofa dry bun with dry ground beef. (I assume there was taco seasoning, but none of us wanted to try it, including our son.) We usually LOVE to visit this Del Rio when we are passing through the area, but this visit was disappointing to say the least. ... We asked for a table and were told it would be 15 minutes. Not a problem. 15 minutes go by and then we are told that they havereserved all their tables for big parties and it would be a long time before they would have a table for us and all they have isbooths available. Fine...but then they seated us in a booth that was half size so there is not a lot of room on the table forfood and is definitely not comfortable to sit in due to the cramped nature of the booth. We felt like we had been crammed in adark forgotten corner. That was very apparent when it came to our service. It was a few minutes before we were greeted andthroughout our visit we had very little attention from our server. When we did, it was very brief. I ordered the BlackendChicken Pasta with jalapeño cream sauce and my husband ordered combo fajitas. When our food was brought to us, my pasta hadqueso all over it and my husband's fajitas were bland. They had no seasoning and the onions and peppers were almost like theywere baked instead of sautéd. I didn't dare say anything about my pasta being incorrect because I wasn't sure when our serverwould have come back to check on us. I was going to use the restroom on the way out, but there was such a fowl odor coming outof there that I decided to wait and go somewhere else. Like I said in the beginning, we usually LOVE this place, but this visitwas not good at all. Read more
