We were very excited to try this place but unfortunately did not live up to the hype. I got a fajita bowl and it was mostly rice... and beans with a few red pepper pieces and a little bit of dry chicken. I love veggies and would have liked to see more veggiesin this. After eating the fajita veggies and chicken out I still had a whole bowl of rice and beans. My husbands burrito fellapart as soon as he picked it up so we ended up eating it deconstructed with a fork. Overall I would agree with the otherreviews that it lacks flavor and needs some sort of sauce maybe. The salsa bar wasn?t that great. And it was overpriced for whatwe got. I love(d) surf taco. My favorite tacos in the whole city. However, someone at ?corporate? decided to take crispy tacos off the... menu. That?s like McDonalds taking fries off the menu or KFC removing chicken or serving soft shell chips and salsa. Are youkidding me?!? Lol. Please bring back the crispy shells!!! End the insanity! The Tacos here are AMAZING! Our family got the Surf Baja fish tacos, shrimp tacos and chicken tacos and everything tasted so... good! I lived in Southern California for many years so my standards are pretty high and these tacos were spot on. Read more
This was our final time at ST tonight. They changed their two taco/drink meal from $7.50 to $14.50. They no longer have hard... shell tacos. Meat was flavorless and the soft shell tacos were stale. If your going to double prices at least put out freshfood. It was 100% empty at dinner time there....a sign! Read more
The quesadilla was not good and it looked like it wasn?t on a grill. The tacos were okay but the Surf Taco was my personal... favorite. The Cauliflower was a little disappointing also. Overall, ?ok? place. Read more
I visited Surf Taco today. The salsas were good, as was the guacamole. My only issues are the drink glasses are too small, and... the chicken in the chicken taco was very chewy from seemingly being over cooked. But I?ll be back. Read more
