Delicious, Thank you such much Ace, we walked in ordered a Steak Sandwich and a Buffalo Sandwich with my GF. We forgot to... mentioned that we wanted to eat here. They allowed us to eat and gave us some extra ketchup. Even though they were close toclosing. The Sandwich was amazing and there customer service to go with it. Quit coming here some time ago because the service and food quality wasn't what it used to be. Decided to give them another... chance but when I walked in to order the short Mexican girl had an attitude. After I ordered my food she said we have a bigorder and it's gunna be 30 minutes is that okay not offering any compensation or apology, just her attitude and eye roll when Ibegan ordering. Based on several visits - I've been a customer of Sal's for several years over back when Sal owned a restaurant in Chicago. I... was thrilled on my first visit into this restaurant and saw him behind the counter and when I ordered my food it brought backsuch great memories. It feels like the recipes haven't changed and the quality has always been great. I haven't seen Sal inquite some time and I hope he's doing well, but the food is still spectacularly good and always hits the spot. My go to is thebuffalo chicken 12 inch sandwich combo and I've never ever been disappointed. They also have a 3 meat sandwich combo, the TripleThreat, which is incredible consisting of steak, gyro, and chicken though there are a few varieties of this sandwich. Cheesesticks are great and the cheese fries are awesome. Employees have always been kind and respectful and I've never had a badexperience in any of Sal's establishments. All around good people serving up all around delicious food and I'm so glad to havethis so close to home. Read more
Our first visit to Chicago and decided to try Sal?s. The cheesesteaks and onion rings were so good! The food is cooked fresh on... order and the wait was very reasonable. The staff was amazing and so helpful. Definitely will come back next time we are intown! Read more
i got them through uber eats and it was very good! Edit: Sal?s use to be one of my favorite restaurants in the area but the... quality has declined significantly on top of them raising their prices. Paying $17 for a 12? Chicken Philly just for it to fallapart when I picked it up is not cool. Probably my last time coming here for a while. Read more
Husband and I decided to try out the place from browsing online. We get there and it's during "rush hour" in assuming..we waited... 20min for our food. (Maybe longer) we were fine waiting as the guy in the back mentioned eveything is freshly made. The frieswere amazing. The seasoning in them was our favorite! We ordered cheesesteak sandwiches and they were okay. A little pricey butfood was good. We wouldn't go back only because the wait took forever. The young girl taking orders was super rude and notfriendly at all. Horrible customer service she needs more training. She slammed our food on the counter when it was ready..not agood first time experience. Never welcomed us or said thank you. The 2 guys in the kitchen were great, the food was good but thegirls service was horrible. Read more
I used to go to chicago cheesesteak back when Sal owned it, and was sad when he sold it. I knew he opened a new joint later but... never had a chance to make it. Finally got my chance and man it is still good. Has great flavor with the crispy tidbits from thesteak which i like. The fries were decent but i just gave those to the kids. Next time i want to add mushrooms, I noticed theydidn't come with them by default. Thanks guys Read more
