I was so excited to try this place and it was a big disappointment. The menu doesn't have much on it and the things that are on... it were OK. The pics are of the Korean Fried Chicken and corned beef hash plate. The Korean Fried Chicken was ok nothingspectacular. As far as atmosphere they need to replace the floors work on cleaning the boots better maybe replacing the boothsit just looks really run down. I just thought that since it was a local spot that it would have been better but it was mediocreat best. Sorry Zippy"s but to me you were just barely a half step up from Denny's here in the mainland. Basic but delicious and filling and very close to the airport. We grabbed a quick breakfast from zippys on our way to another... adventure. While it was nothing special it was definitely a good breakfast. Read more
Oh My Goodness this place is great, happy smiling people and food came out pretty quick. The food is Amazing!!! The fish was so... fresh and fried to perfection. The chilli is the best I've ever had!(I gotta get the recipe) The chicken was crispy skinned andjuicy. The teriyaki beef was sweet and tender. The spam was fried up just the way I like it, and the rice was cooked andseasoned up right. And for dessert the Chantilly cream puffs were so delicious I was bummed I didn't have room for 2. Terrible experience, we ordered Korean Fried Chicken and Chicken Katsu and it was not even hot. Food felt stale and also they... messed up the order by giving Onion Rings ( super fried ) instead of Fries. When I approached the host for taking the onionrings away, they gave me side of fries from an upcoming orders plate and swapped the onion rings. I won?t recommend this placefor Hawaii vacation at all. Read more
Zippy's is just a classic! You can't come to Hawaii and not to try it at one of their locations. Great fried chicken, noodles... and local food. Perfect location and easy parking too. Highly recommend! Read more
Liked it a lot, full of locals. Had the Surf Pac, great Beef Teri, fried chicken thighs, excellent, spam, white rice and the... best macaroni salad on the island. Chili was meh. Wifey got the Chicken Katsu and I added a spam musubi side. Read more
Great first meal after arriving. There can be a bit of a wait so I'd recommend signing up for their online wait-list while... driving around. Their Chicken Trio was delicious, especially the chicken katsu. Read more
Zippy's is normally a 24/7 restaurant, but due to the heavy hit of covid-19 they are currently short staff so the hours reflect... that. With that being said, this doesn't stop them from being very friendly & great service providers! We waited maybe 20minutes for a table, but the food made it worth it. Their menu is very large & offers alot of variety. The chili loco Moco isvery tasty, especially with the peppers, onions, & cheese (any chili dish offers these add-ons). Big portions! Read more
