We were super excited about the reviews and the owner being local. I really wanted to rate 5 stars but although it was... flavorful, the flavor was impacted by the level of grease. There isn't a better burger on the island for the value. The local bun, lettuce with crunch, mild white onions and fantasticly... cooked beef. This place keeps the menu to, burgers offering fries , beef, fish and mushroom patty options and a variety ofcheeses and toppings. The is a slight detour to some solid chili but that's it. They keep it simple and don't right. There arebetter burgers but they are twice as much and your only going to find them at the most upscale of locations. Highly recommend. Read more
Probably like a 3.4 star. We got there just after 1 pm. Place was super packed. Probably waited 20 min after submitting our... order. No complaints on the burgers or the fries. Would go again. See pic of menu attached. Read more
Smaller size burger. Ordered medium rare but got one that was well done. Others in party (5) failed to receive as ordered.... French fries were good. Drinking water was despensed looking pink. Take out order placed after eating, took >35min. Read more

They truly have some of the best tasting burgers on the west side that I have personally had, always made the way I requested,... the salads are also well put together with never bitter lettas, I add a patty or fish to the top for some bonus protein. Thefries are also worth getting if you love a great fresh cut flavor, this type of great tasting fries I have only found at oneother place on the big island, they are really good. Read more
25$ Mess It was a busy night, so 15 minute wait was very reasonable. Staff was very professional and fast! I was impressed with... the service. I was very hungry so I ordered a triple patty lava burger, rare. The burger came out fairly quickly and cooked tomy specifications. The burger itself was mostly disappointing; the top and bottom bun were so tiny, soggy and weak that eatingit by hand like a traditional burger was out of the question. Cutting it with a knife also seemed impossible because the burgerwas so soft that it just ripped apart. I resorted to just cramming it in my mouth, and in the process it basically became mush.Not a very enjoyable experience. The taste was okay, however, with a Lava Burger one would expect some heat. Tasted just likeany other burger made with high quality beef. The fries were EXCELLENT. Cannot ovelook the fact that it was 25 dollars and Iwas still hungry. Value is not there, at least for the triple Deckers. Ken's house of pancakes sumo burger is superior andTropics has a better tasting burger for less. Very tasty/hearty burgers. The fries with the house made aioli are AMAZING. Only thing I wish is that they had a kids meal... combo. We?ve been here twice and recommend for take-out burgers? we wouldn?t dine in as the ambience is a bit busy and chaotic.Nice to bring for a picnic or eating on the go!
