So I did finally have a chance to go and eat at this restaurant tonight and I did like it! The restaurant inside looked pretty... cool especially with the exposed brick and fixtures and such. Great vegetarian sushi options! I believe most of the vegetarian options are also vegan, but they stopped labeling their menu... “vegan” ever since covid, which is disappointing. When my parents visited Kalamazoo, they said this was their favorite meal. Read more

Wow! What an exquisite time. Went to Maru to celebrate my birthday with my husband. We had reservations, and we're seated right... away. Our server, Rachael was fantastic. She gave recommendations, and really listened when I asked for specific cocktailrecommendations to my tastes! The seasonal menu is an excellent way to keep things fresh, while also having a solid selection onthe main menu. Everyone was friendly, we were served quickly. Due to a mixup, one of our sushi rolls came out late. We didn'tmind, but the manager comped it anyways. Just absolutely considerate, excellent business practice. I've been going to Maru for years, and my experience today was great as always. I tried the crabby mushrooms for the first time... today, and they might be my new favorite menu item. I also had the soy joy and spicy salmon rolls, and they tasted fresh anddelicious. The soju lemonade is a must! Read more
