Never thought they would not tell you the time to come in as a new hire I expect to be told my first five days on day one..Also... say that the time doesn't mean anything if I was late when the first day was 11 so assumable to say I was to come in at 11 againthe next day... no without being made aware ot the time Change and still new don't know where to even go and look since notbeing on a regular schedule.. so food might be ok.? But staff and management are crazy and the owner states he is a man of hisword..? But was asked straight up if Icould know my times on the last interview and I was told yes. And here we are today withthe longest and worst review I have ever written and it will be updated monthly. Read more

The food was good and the employees were friendly. Have to order on a kiosk and go grab your food and drinks from the counter.... The kiosk asks for your tip, so I pay it beforehand, not knowing that they are all self-serve now lol.. Kinda weird. Not theemployees fault, which is why I give 5 stars, but what happened to sitting down for a meal with service at Steak n' Shake??? Read more

First time we have been inside one since the covid shut down... First one I have found that the dining room was open. I'm not... sure I like the new contactless ordering system. The menu was paired down and we found the ordering hard to follow. That beingsaid, the food was the same quality and the shakes were still good. Read more

So I've only ever gone through the drive thru until today. My kids, husband and I are currently going through a rough patch and... are staying at the Super 8. Many people in a small space is hard. So as a surprise the family and I walked to Steak and Shake.Had no problems with ordering on the kiosk but was told if I needed help just ask Talana. After placing my order Talana reliazedmy order was take out and was kinda bummed we weren't staying I told her well I planned eat outside at the picnic tables withthe umbrellas. With a big smile on her face told me that everyone could wait outside and she could bring out the food to us. Dad went out with the kids and Talana gave me napkins ketchup and 4 paper hats with cars and crayons for the kids. My youngestaccidentally broke her hat and Talana was coming out anyways to bring out a 3rd hat she had forgotten. I walked in walked backand explained how hard being in 1 room with all the kids are. I only had enough money for 1 drink to go along with are $4 dollarmeals. Talana asks what would the kids like to drink it's on me. I told thank you soo much and my food was ready so she and Iwalked it outside where I told everyone to tell Talana thank you soo muc. She said your welcome it's my pleasure. We're kinda atthe end of our meal and Talana asks us if everything was great and all the kids say it was great. Talana tells me that I wantedto give you this gift card it's not much but I know how hard it can be. I got a big smile on my face said that you didn't needto do that getting up asked her if she was a hugger and all the kids again said thank you. Ordering from a kiosk wasn't awful. But when they delivered the food to the table, it wasn't delivered with any napkins, didn't... offer any ketchup and forgot my daughter's drink. Had to go back up to the counter multiple times. Staff was nice, just doesn'tseem like the greatest execution of the new system of not actually having servers. Read more

Overall the food was OK. We were mostly upset that we were 'upcharged' for certain menu items when not only did we not order... that upcharge, but we were charged for it, then received nothing like what we should have. In this example, we ordered a single"side of cheese cup" but were charged for two. What we received was a single cup that was maybe 1/8th full. I wouldn't be asmad, if we weren't double charged then received a ridiculous amount of cheese sauce for $1.00 in upcharge. To be frank, Iwouldn't be as critical if the last few experiences weren't equally disappointing. Last time we ordered take-out which wasordered online and waiting 30 minutes inside to even be acknowledged. There were zero dine-in customers, but there were alsozero employees to be seen at prime lunch-service times of roughly 1 PM. There wasn't any direction of where to even pickup ourto-go order, let alone any service really until shouting into the kitchen asking if anyone were there after 20+ minutes.... Read more

Our chili was all clumped up, asked for new chili and was told they would make new. When brought back the waitress said they... just added some water, and it was now runny. They mixed it up and dumped it in the same bowl we had already used and ate from. Waitress very sweet, manager didnt want 2 take chili off bill and acted like he was doing us a favor. Also manager said theyare out of chili and "we got the short end of the stick". No chili, no nuts for the milkshakes we ordered that were also runny. Sides not brought out until after burgers, family then had to wait 15 min for soup that was scalding hot when finally broughtout. Unacceptable, and rude Read more
