We visited University Roadhouse after a super long drive from the Suburbs of Chicago. We stopped in for some yummy food to cure... our hanger & we were greeted by such a nice group of hostess'! Our waitress, Taylor, was so attentive and kind, asking how ourspecific food was, and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was very college hangout/ sports bar vibe which iliked. We started with potato skins and they were so crunchy and warm the ranch with them was delicious and im guessinghomemade. I had the Dare Ya burger while my spouse had the Georgia Max burger. Both were HUGE, juicy and full of flavor. I didntenjoy how much meat there was but it was still overall quite filling and delicious. Thank You, we will be back! ?? Read more

I had the Mediterranean salad with lemon poppy dressing yum! My date had the Salmon salad he enjoyed it. We also tried the Asian... chicken mmm mmm...!! For desert we had the cookie ice cream (can't remember the name) it was phenomenal as well. Everything wasdelicious and our salads were the half orders; we were stuffed!!! Terrible dinner quality and not a good experience this evening. My primary complaint with the experience was how the management... chose to address my feedback. My wife ordered the rib special with a side of Mac-n-cheese. The ribs unfortunately were severelyover cooked. You know that feeling that you get when over cooked pork turns grainy and it?s like chewing saw dust? Extra BBQsauce couldn?t even save them. The Mac-n-cheese side dish however was quite tasty. The waitress was really great, took thefeedback to the manager. Her message back to us was ? the manager said that since the ribs were a special, there is nothing thatthey will do?. Who ever heard of such a thing? I imagine that if they had come out raw, would this have been an acceptableresponse? The worst part is, the manager he/she/they/them,? didn?t even consider coming out to talk to me. Apparently,Absolutely 0 interest in customer service quality. My meal was even sub par. I always get the Seared Ahi Tuna, (I know, tuna inMI?) but for the past several years it?s been surprising good. Today it was what one would expect a MI restaurant would providesomeone who doesn?t know what a quality preparation should be. But I didn?t mention it, to the server, as it?s shame on me. Iknow and am aware that we are coming out of a pandemic. Restaurants are working to get healthy again, financially and servicewise. I always give grace and support to local establishments. However when a place is managed is a way that finds my experienceas acceptable, I draw the line. Honestly, it will be a long while before I return, if ever. I will miss the best chicken tendersin town, but running the place in this manner and seeing such a big hit to the quality, is disappointing. I've grown up coming here and still enjoy coming here somewhat regularly. The food and service is always good and consistent!... They offer a wide range of food and change it up once in a while which is nice. Recommend the Pad Thai, tacos, wraps andburgers, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Save room for dessert, they have some of the best inKalamazoo! Read more
The atmosphere was really good here. Lots of TVs to watch sports. No big game in so the noose level was good and we could carry... on a conversation. The choice of bears on tap was good although the beer of the month was Miller. Unwhelming choice. TheDeuchettes was really good though, I highly recommend. My wife had the cod and I had the salmon BLT. The cod was really good andcame with five pieces of fish. Very filling. The salmon BLT was okay. It was very easy and could had used a little more flavorand more bacon. Our server did a great job. Read more
Terrible service at lunch today. Ordered an appetizer (Korean meatballs to share) and received no utensils other than one pair... of chopsticks for all three people. We finally received forks 5 minutes after our mains appeared. We had to ask for them againthough. My salad was missing two ingredients and when I asked about them, the waitress argued with me whether or not theingredients were supposed to be included. I reviewed the menu, they were. She was supposed to ?check with the kitchen? but neveraddressed it with us again. We ordered two beers and she never put them in, even after we asked for them a second time. And thendidn?t bring us to go boxes after we asked for them. At that point, we were just ready to get out of there, so we didn?t bothertrying again with her. It was honestly a completely bizarre experience. There were more things she got wrong than she got right.It wasn?t that busy or else I?d give her some leeway. Just an awful experience.
