App leaves much to desire...on top of app issues, my sandwich was not toasted, missing sauce and didn't have the extra avocado I... paid extra for. The cold cut combo was for later, but I checked due to the first one being incorrect, it was missing 2 of the 3meats...! Not a great experience! I would have gone straight back, but ordered too close to closing time. I was the only orderup...no excuses, I would be less mad if they were swamped, short staffed or something, but they weren't. The employees were rude as soon as I walked in the door. When I asked for an extra scoop of seafood on my sandwich, which I... obviously said I would pay extra for they refused to make it. I've been here many times with no issues. March 8th I came here and left very disappointed. First of all, we wait in line for... almost 10 minutes watching them do prep things like make bread and their excuse was that they just opened at 9am (it was noon).I ordered a turkey slider for my 4 year old and asked to switch the cheese to something not spicy. There was a whole ordealabout that where we had to listen to the employees discuss it and how it's not allowed it and it seemed like they weren't goingto let us. I've done it at other locations and read the fine print that it can be changed .All in all, they were not helpful orfriendly and I hope they put their clock back on the wall. I was on a time schedule and didn't think it was a huge deal that Iaccidentally left my phone in the vehicle. I give 2 stars because they got the order right and the food was good. Read more
The location is in a prime spot, easy to get to from both "downtown" Kalona and the highway. Inside is bright and reasonably... clean. The staff seems overworked, one brash coworker running between the bread/meat/cheese section and the register, one verytired looking employee in the kitchen area and one tired, but cheerful woman was on the toppings/sauce section. My impressionis that they definitely could use one more person behind the counter during prime lunch time to make it easier on all, in turnthey'd feel better and it would show. Apparently this is the only Subway that not only doesn't let customers use a 32 ounce thermos for a paid large drink they will... also include a snarky "we don't allow that here" If I wasn't in a rush to get to where I was going I would have cancelled myseafood combo order on the spot. Never stocked up on toppings. I have gone in 3 separate times for a breakfast sandwich and I have been told they are out of... eggs. Don?t know if they are really out or just to lazy to go in freezer and get some to warm up. Read more
