Went to this restaurant tonight due to reviews. However, after ordering in house for take out of over $70 I asked if they had... gluten free soya sauce. The employee said we do but we charge for it but the regular is free. I have added a photo of the smallGF soya sauce container beside the endless packages of regular. He charged me $1.50 for GF Soya Sauce on top of a $70 order. GFis not that much more than regular in the stores AND they are charging way more than needed to make the money back. In hindsightI should have walked out without my order just for the same principle they are using for gouging us GF people. 10 days oftraveling throughout BC and Kamloops had to spoil the GF adventure! It was ok. for being the ?people's choice top rated? place it was ok. we ordered some of the more unusual rolls on the menu.... biggest turn off was the roll with the mango salsa - and they used Costco mango salsa! definitely expecting somethinghomemade for the price point and restaurant calibre. the other random rolls were good, but the flavor combinations were a bitunusual. we did order a few ?normal? type rolls and they were spot on. loses on star on flavor combinations, use of Costcoingredients and mediocre selection of combo/party trays. i am a huge supporter of sushi mura - no prepared Costco ingredientsused that I'm aware of in their dishes. Fantastic sushi experience that deserves it's high ratings. Warm comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, and top quality... ingredients. They have the best miso soup I've ever tried in my life and everything else was awesome as well. The fish was veryfresh and the serving sizes are large enough to satisfy without breaking the bank. I'm from the lower mainland, one of my favorite sushi places when I come up to Kamloops. Good service, good fresh sushi.
