Had high hopes for this place as it came highly recommended and was recently named the #1 sports bar in Kamloops. Unfortunately... it didn't deliver. Ordered beef nachos and received dry, tasteless beef, stale chips and hardened cheese. My entree was thehalibut and chips, which were ok but soggy. Location was convenient from my hotel and the interior was nice. Service was decentenough and the waitstaff was friendly. Drink selection was good and happy hour specials looked decent. Read more
Best chicken wings I've ever had! Glad I hit the happy hour. The waitress was super friendly as well.
We ended up at this pub because we were staying at a hotel down the street. We were looking for something close where we could... enjoy a couple drinks and eat dinner. Both my husband and I ordered a wrap and oh my goodness were we surprised by the sheersize of it. It was HUGE! But also delicious. We had also ordered an appetizer because we had been driving all day and wereSTARVING. We grossly underestimated how much food we would receive so needless to say, we ended up packing up half. First of all, the service was very good, no complaints... but the food... to be honest, it wasn't that great. Ordered the best... steak on the menu. The veggies were just gross, but the mash potatoes were good. Probably wouldn't go back. Read more
We were lucky enough to be directed to On the Rocks by the hotel we stayed at in Kamloops. The service was great and food... excellent. We have not had a great experience with fish and chips in a pub but our orders here were cooked to perfection. Thehomemade tarter sauce was unique and a very nice change from what you would expect. Everything was so good we chose to havedinner here on our way back home from vacation a week later. Read more
I am sorry I took this long to reply but I am still in shock and forever grateful. We had a group of golfers come up from the... coast and we ate at this bar a couple of nights. Food was great and service was good considering how darn busy this place was girls where swamped. I paid my bill and went back to my hotel. Woke up and my wallet was nowhere to be found. Out of town..couldn't pay my room or golf... went back to this pub and they had it and I got it back with everything in it.. made my day andbelief in honesty.. thank you so much as I cannot express how I felt before and after I found it.. there is still honest hardworking people in this province and they need to be praised so thank you again as you made my day.. The good. The atmosphere was fun. The deep fried pickles were super tasty. The drinks were spot on! The really bad. They served... us raw chicken wings! Cold and bloody raw! I put them at the edge of the table. The waitress came and took them away. When shebrought me the bill she pointed out that she didn't charge us for the raw uneaten wings. Really impressive. Did wing night. Grabbed a beer. Was so battered and fatty. I tore it apart infront the waitress she cringed. Disgusted. ... Basically was half floppy fat and batter. She agreed she wouldn't eat it. As I tossed the fat and batter I peeled off around theplate. Was way more than the meat I got. Biggest wing fail I have ever experienced. She was fantastic.
