Hire friendly and polite staff. Got some rude people working who clearly don't want to be there. Not coming back.
Went there last night looking forward to some good eats, however we immediately regretted it after we paid. The cold table was a... total mess and food was still prepared on it. Food was also burnt and over cooked, for the money we spent our portions weresmall and disappointing. The employees looked less then enthused to be there, and there was no sense of teamwork. It's fine if you catch the right cook on the right day... but make sure you go 2 hours before they close because they start... there deep fryer cleaning and putting everything away very early. It's just bad business... Read more
My expectations were low, as I?ve never had a good experience at any OPA! over the years, and the location at Aberdeen Mall was... no exception. I ordered the Greek salad/calamari combo. $17.00 I?ll start with the Greek salad: the vegetables, particularlythe tomatoes, were cut into huge pieces, and were nowhere near a sensible bite size. The ratios were also way off - I couldcount on one had the amount of green pepper pieces I had, and there was barely any feta. To top it off, I can confidently sayI?m sure they forgot to add the dressing when they ?mixed? the salad. The calamari was horrid. Hard, yet chewy, cold, andlacking flavour. The batter crumbled off the moment you stabbed it with your fork in an attempt to pick it up. Terrible. Thisexperience was more than an insult to the Greek restaurants I?ve dined in over the years, and the fine Greek people I?veknow. If I could give zero stars I would. Read more
Not too sure if this is location specific issue but the quantity was too less especially for salad and rice... like half of the... box was empty. Usually Opa has a bed of rice and salad. I have eaten several times at Opa locations across Calgary but I wasdisappointed by this location's portions for a platter that's $12+. Read more
I have eaten here many times in the past and it was great portions were fair and food was good. This time was awful Greek salad... missing veggies a light dust of feta I mean literally a little dust lettuce underneath to hide the fact there is less than thereused to be. We also ordered the large calamari it was sad. Mostly batter and almost half what they used to give the dude behindthe counter was rude when I asked for a little feta on the salad. First time I have been served raw calamari. Might not be raw but plenty of raw batter. Salads are getting smaller.
Had a thick pita bread wrap thing! Cut up sausage in it. Very disappointing. Wasn't worth the cost at all. 2 drinks. For 2... people bill came to thirty something. Sorry! Read more
