Accepted etc.I go to pick it up on my way home Thursday, before listed closing time 6 pm ( closes at 7... p.m.according to all info, including the listing on the door) now closed until after Christmas. This place is top notch from beginning to end! Firstly, the staff are friendly, courteous, and attentive. The staff know their... menu, they know what?s really good, so ask!! The menu isn?t big, and this is ALWAYS a good sign it?s good eats. A great menudoesn?t need to be jam packed. The best thing on the menu? Soup, and salad.....so freaking good!! I did not know about this taproom until recently. It's close by in Kanata so I do believe we will be back soon. The staff is... very friendly and helpful in being able to help choose a beer that we all liked. Next time we will definitely stay for somepizza from Big Rig because it is so delicious! Read more
There many other brews available on tap here that you won't find in the stores. You get a nice view of how the beer is made... while sitting on a bar stool or at the big wood tables. You won't find much of a food menu because it's not a restaurant. Justpizza slices and one or two types of sandwiches. Read more
An unexpectedly fun little tap room hidden inside a small industrial park in rural Kanata. Beware that they keep odd hours... (open till 4pm Sat, closed Sun and open weekdays till 8pm). Otherwise I have visited the brewery on several Saturdays and hadthe entire place to myself sans barkeeper. Most of the bartenders are chatty and friendly. The brewery does have limited foodoptions during weekdays which is popular with the local IT crowd. There are no food options on Saturday ... but dont be afraidto pick up a pizza and take it inside with you and enjoy a few beers with friends. The barkeepers wont mind. Big Rig has a goodselection of craft beer options that range from fantastic to mediorcre. They have several beers on tap and tall boys andgrowlers to go.This place is popular with the local beer tours and I am surprise it isn't more well known in Kanata. Read more
Good Beer, one of the larger breweries in Ottawa. Big fan of thier Alpha Bomb IPA, typically order online or pick up some cans... at the LCBO. One time I had an issue with an online order (missing a few cans) contacted support and they managed to get me themissing cans and then some by the next day, pretty impressive. Been to the Big Rig Kitchen on Iris as well (usually off hours)nice staff and typical prices. Read more
