I placed an order at 5 pm and it took over an hour to be delivered. I'm not mad at the delivery driver but at the restaurant... itself. I'm not normally one to be picky or complain, but with the wait time, I assumed the quality of food would at least bereasonable. Fine, I can understand it could have been busy. But I'm really curious as to how fresh the ingredients are and whatquality we are being charged for. I paid a total of about $26. $5 of that is for the gulab Jamun which I literally had to throwout. It quite literally tasted like melted plastic and I felt sick eating the small bite that I did. Charging $5 for two tinypieces of gulab Jamun and then it tasting like plastic is unacceptable. On top of that, I ordered butter chicken which tastedlike it was a frozen chicken package recently thawed and put in the curry and sent. Really poorly handled food. I don't thinkeven the owner will eat such food and say it's ok. Only parotha was okay but rest of the food was off putting. Very sad becauseas a South Indian I thought we would have more pride in our food quality and all but nope. Street food in India tastes much muchbetter. Sorry but you've lost me as a client. Read more
One of the best Kerala food restaurant in Kanata and ottawa region. I have tried chicken dish, beef dish , mutton dish and also... seafood dish here. All the meat was excellent during my visit. The Kerala porota made me dream that I was in Kerala????. Theplace had good seating and also suitable for large groups. Only thing I had to mention is that, although I was dining in, therestaurant gave the curry and the porota in disposable bowl and plates which I wasnt impressed and couldn't get the dining infeeling. But the positive side is that if there is any left over we could just pack it directly in the same. Read more

What kind of Indian restaurant doesn?t even have cutlery, they don?t serve water either. The chutneys in the take away tiny... boxes seemed frozen. It was super cold. The food was served in take away containers. The Sambar was boiling hot in plasticcontainers which looked as if it would melt. Food was ok. So 2 starts for that. Also, it took exceptionally long over 45 minsfor getting the food. But it would be great is they don?t behave as it they are doing social service by feeding the poor. Neveragain! Read more
The most pathetic experience. They give all the image of a restaurant, but they don't give cutlery or water. Then they give a... excuse that its a fast food place. Food is oily and tasteless. They charge $2 for a 50 cent frozen parotta served in a paperplate. Will not recommend. The restaurant should change the deceiving images they have posted in google Maps. Read more
Kochin Kitchen is a well known resturaunt from the downtown Ottawa core that now has a location in Kanata. It's located in the... Landmark plaza right near the movie theatre and has a beautiful interior with what looks like a future set up for a buffet (notsure though). They serve halal meat and will tell you where the meat is sourced if you ask. We ordered 3 curry dishes (chicken,beef and fish roughly $15 per) along with 6 porotta's ($2.50 per) which was more than enough for 3 adults and 1 toddler withplenty leftover for tomorrow. The fish was my favourite, had an authentic Sri Lankan taste to it. Excited for when dine-in isopen again so that we can try out some fresh dosa. Very flavourful food that we will most definitely be ordering again. Read more
We ordered the beef curry, king fish curry and kerela chicken curry. All the dishes were delicious and flavourful. We also got... parathe which were fresh and perfect with the dishes. The seating area was really nice as well so whenever they are open fordine in, we will definitely be going back to try the dosa and other stuff they have. Read more
