Just amazing. We were not that experienced with Thai food, but with the ladys recommendations we had the best meal we had in our... time in Hawaii. Because of fish and nut allergies, we had to customize some meals quite a bit - it was no problem and welearned, that all meals are cooked fresh and individually. Even our vegetarians (me and my girlfriend) were amazed, since inAmerican restaurants it isn't always easy to find something good without meat or fish. And if you don't find something on thecard - Talk to them, they will find a way to make you happy. Try the garlic tofu and the Thai ice tea with coconut milk! If youare in Oahu, doesn't matter where - Go there. It is the best restaurant on the island. Read more

It was amazing. Service was splendid, the Lady asked our favorites and experience, and made recommendations what to order and... modified the dishes appropriately. The food itself was top quality, cooked exactly right and tasty. We did not expect to findsuch a nice dining experience there. Perfect, we left with a smile or two. :) Read more

Seriously the most delicious authentic tasty Thai food I have had in my life. I am vegan and the chef made the best curries and... Thom kha soup. The Mung bean noodle with Garlic tofu is the best. Can?t wait to Come back. Also the owner Mina is a delight. Read more

I stopped in on a recent rainy evening in Kaneohe, in this little gem of a restaurant tucked away within the Windward Shopping... Center. Sure glad I did! I tried the spring rolls and the namesake noodles (Chao Phya Thai noodles). The restaurant wasn'tbusy, so I can imagine that it might take longer when it is, but my appetizer was served within 7-8 minutes, and my entreearrived before the appetizer was half done. The restaurant was decorated for the holiday season and it made the room evennicer. Dark red tablecloths adorn all the tables and attractive wicker chairs were well-padded and comfortable. There was alsoan outdoor seating area, but with the showery night, I chose the main room. I recommend this restuarant to all my friends andfamily, and everyone else as well. The only reason I didn't give a five star is because this is my first (but definitely notlast) visit and I only tried one appetizer and one entree. But I'll be back to try again, and if all goes as well as tonight andtastes as good, I'll be raising it to five stars! Read more

This restaurant has the most welcoming environment on the island. The only thing that is better then the hospitality is the... food! The will come out and explain about what you ordered and how it was prepared and show you the fish he used. He willexplain how he is adamant on only using the freshest ingredients from the islands. The hostess will be there for anything youneed and make you feel like family but not overwhelming. If you like athletic Thai food or want to eat something done right youcan?t miss out on this experience. Read more

I will start off this review by stating that although I eat out 5 or 6 night a week, I am not a Thai food aficionado. I do love... good food and good service and I got both here from Chef Guy and Chef Paul at Chao Phyu Thai Restaurant in the Windward CityShopping Mall. With that said, the food at Chao Phyu Thai Restaurant is AMAZING! The newly redecorated place is very cleanand comfortable for a single, a couple or a large party. The walls and decorations in the place make you feel like you areinvited to the Chefs house for a personal meal. I came in on a weekday for a business lunch and was greeted by Chef Guy and hesat with us and took the time to talk story and get to know us. He suggested a few menu items and set us up with some drinks. This was a business casual lunch, so we only had tea and water, however they do allow BYOB and encourage you to bring your ownwine or a cooler for the gang. We started off with the red curry soup and a double order of Thai Crispy Spring Rolls. Next upwas a generous platter of Chicken Pad Thai Then came the main course of Seared Scallops on a bed of Indian noodles cooked toperfection. Along with that is the imported King Salmon; we ordered the salmon to share which came with a generous side saladand served on top of a bed of couscous so tender and buttery. This fish just falls into your mouth and is so delicious. Also,in the main course was the giant sautéed clams in a curry soup broth. My favorite was the Scallops, and I recommend thisplace!! Most entrees are served with a fresh salad, and generally are loaded down with vegetables. The portions are huge, andeverything is made fresh to order. What sets them apart is the brilliant balancing of flavors. Sweet, acid, heat, sours, bitterand fragrant aromatics... nothing too 'spicy'... take for example the pad Thai I am used to pad Thai that is coated in someslippery sweet peanut sauce... here the peanuts are served on the side (delicious) and the flavors of the pa Read more
