The burnt ends at this place is terrible. I told the people when I ordered to make it lean as possible, less fat. When I... received my order fat was everywhere. And they put a lot of nasty sauce on it to hide the meat texture which made it extremelysalty. I couldn't finish the meal, it was that horrible. I cannot speak to the rest of the food that's being sold at thisparticular place, I can only speak about what I ordered and received. It was the worst burnt ends in the country. Read more

A top notch BBQ joint in the most competitive market place has managed to stand out and thrive in Kansas City by producing a... quality product in a unique atmosphere. I enjoyed a big beef sandwich with beans and fries very much and my friends had beef andham. Easy to find with plenty of free parking. Everything was excellent especially the folks who own and operate this greatrestaurant. Very helpful, friendly and informative. Thank you for serving up a great meal in a fun environment, I will be backsoon to try your burnt end chili, it sounds great! Jeannette and I brought a friend here for lunch yesterday and she shared someof the chili with us and it was also excellent. Read more

I only come to KC every couple of years. When I do I expect the best BBQ in the country. Did not get it this time. This was... locally recommended. 7 of us ate spare ribs, brisket, ham, turkey, burnt ends, chili. Meat was all thin sliced and cold, evenwhen getting a plate meal. Burnt ends were fatty and not tender. Chili was blah. Sides were homemade but not creative. Not oneof us was impressed. I had home cooked BBQ baby backs in Manhattan, KS a few days before that was a completely better story.Proving one again that going out to eat is for the unimaginative. Read more

We were more than excited to come to a triple D location. Our food was meh..cold... poor quality and not worth an extra drive... and 80$. Meat was all cold and the brisket had no smoke flavor at all. Very sad. Read more

Good ribs and brisket, but there are other bbq joints that I like better. The sauce had a little too much vinegar for my tastes.... I don't want people to think that their food isn't good, because the ribs and brisket were moist, tender and well smoked. It'sjust a matter of personal taste. I really liked the laid back dining area that consisted of picnic tables. The service wasexcellent. They were friendly and helpful. Read more

The food was amazing, I absolutely loved the burnt ends and the brisket was really good. I ended up getting a 2 meat sandwich... that I 3/4 pulled apart and ate separately. Mine had brisket and burnt ends, I got a side of coleslaw and a single sparerib. The rib on the rib was a bit thick for me, but when paired with some sauce it was good. The actual meat on the rib wasamazing. The side of slaw was nice, juicy and tasty. It had a pretty standard flavor with a bit of pepper for bite. The guys Iwent with enjoyed their sandwichs, one had the 3 P's, and another had a single meat sandwich. Read more

Ordered 2-meat and 1-meat plates. Quantity was great. Meats were tender and hot. Cheesy corn was awesome. Prices in-line with... competition. Highly recommend. Read more

Tried their ribs and snuck in a little burnt ends by having their chili on the side. My other side was their cheesy corn. The... burnt ends were good and moist. Having them bathing in chili probably helped. The solid pieces on top of the chili were good. The pieces mixed into the chili made the mixture thick. Lots of beans made this some food chili. Not sure why it made the bucketlist of things to eat before you die. I?m glad I had it, but it didn?t change my life. The ribs on the other hand? maybe notlife-changing either, but very good. Their spice rub was exotic. Not your usual fare. Something maybe Indian was in there,Tumeric or something. It gave the ribs a distinct and unique flavor. Definitely setting them apart from all the other BBQ intown. The cheesy corn was cheesy corn. I?m not sure what I?m missing about this side dish. Everywhere I?ve tried it, it allbeen about the same. It?s corn in a sauce that?s kind of cheesy, but not sharp or anything. Just kind of plain. If you likecheesy corn, this will meet your expectations. Read more
