This place is amazing! The food is delicious, the waitress we had was phenomenal and the sports memorabilia is interesting and... plentiful! The women's restroom is plastered with women's sports memorabilia. I spent a long time in the restroom, looking atall the articles and photos and items. The entire restaurant is absolutely covered in sports items, and the atmosphere makes youfeel welcome to get up from your seat, and wander around looking at the displays. Right now there is construction going on infront of the building. (Looks like the city is maybe replacing the sidewalks), but you can enter through the back entrance. Backentrance is completely covered, and is a great place to step outside to take a phone call or smoke/vape in all weatherconditions. Read more

This place was cool. I totally dug the decor and vibe. They do online ordering, dine in, and to go orders. Place wasn't busy... when I went in. The sandwich was huge and tasty. The fries were good but nothing to rave about. The carrot cake was delicious.Ordering online was super easy and had tons of options. Staff was friendly and helpful Read more

Truly one of the best restaurant bars in KC. They have great food; their burgers, fries and mac are incredibly delicious.... Servers always have a great attitude and take care to check in. There are several TVs for sport watching, plus great music. Itall makes for a wonderful experience - and not to mention how cool this place is decorated! Read more

Wow what a special place to visit! I had the good fortune to meet the original owner and have a short conversation with him. I... asked him if he had a helmet of my alma mater hanging from my ceiling and he walked me straight to - there are alledgly 1k or sohelmets in the building! Oh yeah, I ate the the roasted prime rib dip and it was very good. The au jus was home made, it wasn'ta salty as other restaurants but very tasty! Read more

I didn't take pictures. But, this place is so fun. The entire restaurant is filled with sports memorabilia. It is great. You... could walk around forever looking at all the stuff. I had grilled cheese. We had pot stickers at the table and a porktenderloin which is huge. I forgot to take pictures but all were happy with their meal. It is a great place. Read more

As a restaurant, Chappell's is fine. Our server was really nice and tended to all our needs. The food was a mix of good to ok,... with typical bar food cooked as it should be but otherwise unremarkable, and a large variety of entrees and some intriguingdaily specials. Tried the Chipotle Salmon from the regular menu, and the fish was cooked just right but the aioli made it toogreasy and the additional toppings were very mild. No regrets, but I'd modify or change my order next time. The drinks werefine. As a place, packed with sports history and somewhat of a historic landmark in its own right, Chappell's was probablyquite an attraction in its hay day. Visiting recently on a Saturday evening, this expansive labyrinth of space felt like it wasyearning for crowds of visitors and regulars to arrive, but instead it was just a handful of us. There's plenty of room for biggroups, and it connects to a covered outdoor corridor too. I enjoyed wandering around (wasn't too difficult/awkward for me topoke around since there weren't many guests at the time) looking at all the sports photos and memorabilia from across KC, theMidwest, and the nation, spotlighting a mix of pro, college, high school, etc. Even found a couple pennants from my own almamater! On an equally cheeky and depressing note, there was a ton of women's athletic memorabilia ? in the women's restroom(would have been cool to see it displayed more prominently in the main areas for all to see). Overall Chappell's has it's ownblast-from-the-past charm, and I hope the restaurant gets to enjoy a bustling revival some day. Read more

This is a nice little spot to go and hangout and get a drink or a bite to eat. The build your own Mac and cheese is a must try.... The house salad is iceberg lettuce and the one that I received... Well the lettuce looked old and dead, my waiter took it offwith no issues. Read more
