My neighbor and I decided to check this place out. I got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and said it came with collard... greens but I got green beans. And she ordered a cheeseburger sliders. She also ordered a glass of wine and I ordered astrawberry spritzer type drink. The opening with the bread that was warm and the brown sugar was delicious. When we went it wasat the end of the day and there were only two other tables but it took forever for us to get her food and they forgot ourdrinks. I was really disappointed in the quality of the food. When I hear food love I'm thinking that somebody really took thetime to prepare and add flavor but honestly it tasted like a heated up frozen chicken and some kind of bagged mashed potatoesand Jarred gravy. And the sliders looked overcooked. Service wasn't great the waiter forgot about us. I'm really not sure whattook so long to prepare the food. As the other thing that I noticed is there were no food smells you couldn't smell foodcooking which I thought was odd. If you want really bland food at this juncture it's the place to go here's hoping thingsimproved for them Read more

What started off as a mid morning coffee walk ended as an incredible lunch. We stopped to look at a menu posted in the window... only to be ushered in by our wonderful waiter Kyle. He informed us they had only opened back in August but the atmosphere andquality of just the interior made it seem like they were a Kansas City staple. After we got our menus and started lookingthrough the menu we were brought some bread with a brown sugar and butter glaze and it was the perfect start to an incrediblemeal. Usually I prefer a savory or salty starter but I have zero complaints about this bread. Kyle was very attentive to ourtable and was constantly checking on us, getting us what we wanted/needed. I ordered two appetizers as my meal, I wasn’t superhungry but still wanted to try a few things off the menu. I went with the boulettes de viande (meatballs with a sweet and spicysauce) and the poulet doight (custard fried chicken strips with a special sauce) and they were both magnificent. The meatballswere light and spongy and the sauce complimented them perfectly and the chicken was tender and the breading was seasoned justright. Again Kyle was there to refill our waters or get us (me) extra sauce. Overall, this has been one of the best diningexperiences I’ve had while traveling, we didn’t even plan on eating this morning and I am so immensely happy that Kyle hadopened that door for us. 100/10 would dine there multiple times if I had the time. If I am ever back in Kansas City you can betthat I’ll be stopping here again and again. Read more

Visited FoodLove Cafe yesterday. It was a little disappointing. I really want this place to survive. The fried chicken is one of... the popular dishes. It lacked seasoning, as did the mashed potatoes. The menu should specify it's boneless, as well. The Asiansalad was also one-note. We had great service though. You can park in the garage to the back corner of the building and theywill validate for you. Restrooms are through another door into the main building and are semi accessible and gender specific.Entrance is semi accessible. There is patio seating. Read more

Really enjoyed our visit to the foodlove café. Definitely recommend the French onion soup and the sausage stuffed jumbo... mushrooms. It was quaint and calm but we were also in at a non-busy time. Check it out! Read more

I had the stuffed Tilapia. The sauce was yummy and the fish was moist. My husband had the Knocked You Naked Noodles & Ham. We... also had the Beijing Salad which was delicious. I loved the artsy/industrial vibe with high ceilings. I know the owner and thisrestaurant was her dream. Check it out! Read more

The service was great and the food was even better. The Ham and Noodles were the perfect amount of creamy and cheesy, especially... paired with the smoked ham. Will certainly be back soon to try more of the menu. I didn’t catch the chef’s name, but she wasvery sweet and fun to chat with. 10/10 recommend Read more
