This restaurant is truly phenomenal and a hidden gem to Kansas City! I usually don’t like to give 5 stars a restaurant but... this one checks all the boxes. We were welcomed with friendly staff, amazing wine and cocktails, and truly over the top food.The portions are heaping, you won't go come unsatisfied. This is a classic Italian restaurant. It's not a large restaurant, so don't expect to walk in and get a table. The servers... never let our drinks get low, very engaging and had several recommendations and advice. We came here to celebrate our 21stanniversary and we couldn't ask for a better experience. The gluten free options were plentiful and very tasty. It was soogood, I already made another reservation. The portions are large and the drinks are strong. The GF molten lava cake wasamazing. What an historic pice of history in downtown KC. You will feel like you have stepped back in time when the mob was alive and... strong. The food is some of the best Italian the I have ever had. The meatballs have to be homemade. The seasoning was spot on. Sauce was flavorful and the cheese on top was melted perfectly. ... Calamari was over cooked a bit I would not get it again. For the area, this Italian food is amazing. Every dish is created with quality in mind. Everything tastes fresh and high... quality. The waiters are incredibly polite and attentive. The atmosphere is upscale and comfortable at the same time. We areabsolutely going back. Everything on the menu sounded great, and what we got was spot on. Attached will be images of themeatball appetizer and chicken Parm main course. Chicken Parm was excellent, the meatballs were also pretty solid. The saucebetween the two was honestly what blew me away (many sauces in the area are horribly acidic. Not this one). There was also ampleparking across the street in a small parking lot.
