Not good! It was my 1st time ever going. Bad location and bad parking. I got the catfish nuggets with okra and some bombers. At... 1st sight it looked good. However when I got home and started getting into my food I was not pleased. Over half of it went inthe trash as I found myself picking out the good pieces. The okra was not fresh at all and the worse fried okra I've ever had.The Catfish nuggets didn't seem fresh neither. The bombers seemed like they had been sitting as well. Don?t waste your money. Don?t know if this establishment is under new management or what, but the food ain?t what it used to be.... The shrimp are not ?large? as mentioned on their menu, they were overcooked over-seasoned, and rubbery. The fish pieces weresmall, overly seasoned, overcooked, with way too much batter, which was so hard we could barely bite into it. The only thinggood about this meal were the fries. Food was trash. We ordered 20 piece mixed, they cut the chicken breast in half. The breast was so little, they looked like... thighs. The legs were so little, like a baby chick. If I could give 0 stars I would. I usually have nor problem ordering from Js on 31st but this one in the 50?s is a no go. I do... not recommend. They use extremely smaller portions than the other restaurant for the same amount I called the owner and hebasically side he didn?t care. Pretty good chicken. Usual hood chicken spot but this one is a little above the rest. Prices are reasonable. Very clean. Nice... staff. This one has bulletproof protective glass. While I certainly understand why, my sentiment is if you don?t feel safe inthe neighborhood maybe try somewhere else. I tend to not shop at or patron establishments such as this but I?d say when Iactually do visit this location, the food is great. Read more

I've never had better chicken wings. Sounds exaggerated, but chicken is my number one and I'm critical of the process by which... its cooked. J's wings are transcendent. Pretty sure the spice topping is lemon-pepper and brown sugar. So good it makes me feeldumb. Read more
