This is a great fine dining place and the food recommendation is delicious. We celebrated my beautiful wife’s birthday here... and she was well taken care of by amazing servers, Jevene and Denise . Our appetizer we had the Surf N Turf- Scallops, BraisedShort Rib, and Gremolota. My wife’s entree was the special, Halibut with Parmesan truffle fries for the side, and I hadChilean Sea Bass with whipped Potatoes. This place was incredible and the service was amazing. Our waiter was very informative and helped us picked our entrees.The only... reason why I gave it a four star is because the oysters were kind of a disappointment. From the time I walked in the door, being seated was no wait, top notch customer service, phenomenal ambiance and the teriyaki... salmon w/ sticky rice paired perfectly with a green apple walnut house salad! This is probably the best restaurant in Kansas City. I have eaten at most of the high end restaurants in a 40 mile radius and... Ocean Prime delivered in every aspect. The circuses were first class. The food and drinks were to die for. The service! Courtneyour waitress and the staff up front were absolutely amazing. We let Courtney order most of our food and drink withoutdiscretion. She surprised us and did not let us down. I cannot say enough about this place. The pictures will speak forthemselves. This is where the saying goes... Overall: perfect addition to the Broadway scene in KC! of all I think its a spot for lunch or happy hour as well as a spot for... intimate date night. The vibe was energetic and sophisticated. Our wait staff accommodated our requests made during thereservation. Food: treat yourself to the appetizer. If you're unsure, go for the gouda tater tots. The Shrimp Tempura warmlymelts in your mouth and is topped with a perfectly seasoned lump of extra spicy shrimp. Surf N Turf appetizer was perfectlypan-seared scallops and delicious braised beef. Entrees: I ordered the chicken and hubby ordered the Crispy fish sandwich. Iwasn't a fan of the chicken since it was not tender as expected but the Crispy fish with lobster bisque were tasty. We ended themeal with a celebratory Yellow birthday cake that was sweetened with a big scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top.
