The service was good; we went about 1:30, got a table right away and our food was out fast. My sister loved her chicken salad... sandwich with bacon and we liked both of the soups. My husband and I ordered the brioche French toast which had really no flavorto it (and they had no sugar-free syrup); the bacon and potatoes that came with it were very good! Our son ordered the biscuitsand gravy and it was extremely bland. Breakfast is served until 3:00 everyday which was a plus for us. However, I would orderthe chicken salad next time and steer clear of the French toast until they add some flavor to it. Read more

Stopped in here for brunch on our last day visiting the area and so so wish we had found this place on day one!!! We would have... been here everyday!! Not only is the food and atmosphere amazing, but owner Andrew Folger behind the bar is the best! He trulymade this an incredible experience for us. He is hilarious! Best food in the area. Best service in the area. Lots of friendlyregulars were coming in. They are very accommodating to dietary needs and they don't upcharge for every little thing. Greatwine selection (not one single basic grocery store brand). Good quality prosecco. The best espresso martini I've had in a longtime. Not too sweet and really good with a pinch of salt. Nothing is from frozen. The steak and eggs Benedict were amazing(only available on the weekends) and the salmon scramble was soo good. If you like spicy, do yourself a favor and order Lupe'ssalsa with everything. Bacon is thick cut and good quality. Read more

In KC for a vacation and went to Room 39 for breakfast. The restaurant has a great atmosphere even if slightly cramped. We made... a reservation which was not required, but was a good call as the restaurant is not very big - when we got there, there was maybe3 tables open inside and both outside tables were also open, but when we left only 1 table was open, so I would recommend makinga reservation. My wife got the Artichoke Toast, I got the Croque Madame, and 1 of our teenage boys got the Waffles and theother got the Brioche French Toast. You know all were excellent when we were arguing about who had the best. I sampled them alland they were all great. One thing we all agreed on was that the breakfast potatoes were fantastic & I would recommend gettingthem with any order! The coffee was solid, not the best I've ever had but good and hot. All the meals were in the $12-$13 rangeand the drinks were $3.50 even the coffee, which I thought was a little high, but maybe not for KC. Overall it was an A+experience and we would recommend eating here to anyone. Read more

A foodie friend was in town and wanted to try some place that is a sort of hidden gem of KC. I've heard great things about... Room39 so I got us reservations. Calling in to make a reservation a half hour before we planned to be there was easy. Thegentleman on the phone was courteous and helpful. At the restaurant the serving staff let us choose to eat outside on thesidewalk. It was a very nice evening and enjoyable being out there instead of what appeared to be a dark and more intimateinterior. Sitting outside had some downsides though. It felt like we were forgotten a bit and, at no fault of the restaurants, Idid get shot by some gel pellets by some people driving by. Drinks - I asked for a recommendation between a couple choices andwas recommended the hibiscus mocktail. It was alright. Nice color, decent flavor but a bit closer to bland-bitter thantart-sweet. My buddy ordered a couple cocktails. Something with orange peel and another based on the server's recommendation. Hesaid both were awful. Food - I ordered the Pair of Spiced Quail (pictured) and he ordered the Filet au Poivre (refer to menupic). He loved his meal! He said it was flavorful and not too spicy. The veg he enjoyed. But mostly the green peppercorn cream. However, he did expect more steak for the price he paid and it was a bit over cooked than what he asked for. The Pair of Quailwere nicely seasoned and very well cooked. The farro and sorghum were great! I could have eaten that quail by itself without thesauce and it would have been brilliant. In fact, I should have eaten it without the harissa because that, for me, ruined thedish. The harissa teased me with smoky, spicy possibilities but it was a huge let down. There was no spice to it. There wasflavor communicating spice should be here, but I was just left with sweetness throughout. I kept trying it hoping the spicewould kick in but it never did. I'm not sure how they made their harissa but it just tasted like chili powder, paprika an Read more

This beet / beef burger was top notch! Flavor, freshness, good portions and the fresh tea's are amazing! I'll be back here again... soon! Decent prices, close to several other places and the hospital if you eat to much. Read more

Had an absolutely lovely dinner here. I did the four course meal for $45 and on Monday it’s half off wine! They had a great... vegetarian entree option. The food was fresh and flavorful. Our server was excellent. I would definitely come back here when inKC. I ate here with my colleague - there were many couples out on dates. Very cute restaurant with an excellent diningexperience!
