We called ahead on a busy Saturday night and they had a table reserved for us with waters ready. Very nice. Wait staff was... attentive and knowledgeable about the food. Food was great too! I got the red snapper. We'll be back! Read more

I needed a gluten free, low fat option for lunch today. For $7, I ordered a small salad. It was literally a handful of wilted... greens, a glob of shredded carrots (yes...a glob under the greens), and a tasteless vinaigrette. For an additional $7, I couldhave added some chicken breast to this plain salad...I am glad I saved my money and only had a $7 disappointment instead of a$14 one. This item shouldn't even be on their menu, wilted or fresh. Worst (and least) food I have ever been served at arestaurant. Even at only $7, a handful of old greens is extremely disappointing. Chelsea welcomed us with a smile and intricate knowledge of the food and bar menu - even their new seasonal specials. The kid... (18!) had the Tavern Burger, Medium (they’re very thick patties and are fabulously juicy beef) and fries, with all thecondiments on the side. As always the wife and I shared - so we got the Fish and Chips and the Rubin (they make their owncorned beef and it’s good). Of course I had a Guinness, and Nataliya had their renowned Grand Bloody, Bloody Mary - she“loved the fabulously fantastic toppings, including shrimp and bacon and more!” Absolutely had a phenomenal time on a greatFriday night wasn’t very crowded, yet (we went early)!! * highly recommend!* Read more

Went on a Sunday for brunch and I so regret taking my friend who was in town here. Ordered breakfast skillets and were asked how... we would like our eggs - which we both requested sunny side up. When we got our skillets, the eggs were equivalent to boiledinside the skillet. We asked if we could get sunny side up, and was told that’s how the skillet is made. Why even ask then? Wedid get sunny side up eggs on the side, but they were dangerously undercooked. Again we were told that we were wrong, and thatsunny side up eggs should have puddles of clear slimy eggs whites. I also have never had gelatinous corned beef hash served intomato sauce, which another person at the table ordered. It sounds like they serve a good lunch and dinner - but I would avoidfor brunch. Giving a second star because the drinks were good, big ups to the bartender for the best part of our meal. Read more

I had the most amazing experience with The Pressed Penny Tavern when they catered my wedding in May 2022. The presentation of... the food, the price, the taste of the food, the service, and the professionalism of the staff exceeded all of my expectations. Ihad a wedding of around 200 people and they handled all of it amazingly. The cook, Joey and the owner Gordan were superaccessible and met all of my needs! They even did a full tasting for me months before my wedding so I could be fully prepared! They communicated with me all the way until the day before and did a great job communicating with my wedding coordinator the dayof! I had them create a charcuterie board for appetizers and all of my guests loved the food and it looked so beautiful! I stillhave guests commenting on how great the entrees and sides were (I had steak, fried chicken, a salad bar, mixed vegetables, andmashed potatoes and gravy). The service provided by them and Ryan Kulke during the dinner was outstanding- they did an amazingjob and even packed the food up for me so I wouldn't be stressed the day after! They even helped me with suggestions for platesand silverware. All in all, I could not recommend The Pressed Penny enough for catering! They were so professional and on time-the food was perfectly cooked and warmed as well. They were also the best-priced restaurant for catering- I am so happy theirservice! They made this bride, along with 200 guests so happy!! If you are looking for catering for an event, look no further! You truly won't regret it!! Read more

The Pressed Penny is an awesome place to eat! Definitely top of the line in food for a bar. I read the negative reviews and... the majority complaining about the food should try it again. The current Chef is a terrific cook. If you like brussel sprouts,PP has the best in town!! It's comfortable inside and has a great patio. We have always had superb service and would highlyrecommend it!!! Read more

Tasty food. Small menu. Go for the side avocado Caesar salad. It was quite good. The veggie Sammy was perfect. Hubby said the... Ruben was ok. Nice atmosphere. Only downfall, when we sat down we were brought water and not offered any other drinks. And norefills on the water. Next time I’m going to try the waffles. Read more
