The atmosphere is incredible. Very clean and relaxing. The menu is very diverse and everything looked incredible. Went... appitizer crazy and the roasted brussel sports were to die for. Healthy and tasty food. I like that they change their menu according to what vegetables are in season. Friends and I went for... dinner during the art fair, my friend got the spicy panang curry and days it was fantastic. I had the seasonal ingredient saladwhich was great with added tofu for protein. We also shared charred broccoli and cauliflower appetizer, those were slightlyblander then we like but if you don't care for spicy stuff then they're great. Read more

Lovely lunch at True Food Kitchen on the Plaza. Service was great. I had the margarita pizza. Delicious with organic tomatoes,... mozzarella and basil. Loved the crust. They have a gluten free option for crust as well. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze.Highly recommend for lunch. And I look forward to coming for dinner soon. We hope our reviews are helpful for learning aboutshopping, eating and playing in the area we live in. Read more

I met with Katie Payne, a Realtor colleague from Leavenworth, for lunch at True Food Kitchen on the Country Club Plaza and... neither were disappointed. This was a perfect working lunch. Katie ordered the Mediterranean Pizza and I ordered the SustainableSalmon (which is Gluten Free). Most of the meals can be made Gluten Free including pizzas, just by changing out the crust. Thiswas amazing and I’m sure we will be back. I also ordered Watermelon Lemonade. All was awesome. If you are in Kansas City, thisis a must try. My meal was delicious. It had well curated elements to it. I ordered an ancient grain bowl with tofu and it was a perfect meal... for dinnertime, it was hearty meal that kept me satiated. The cilantro pesto was a star of the whole meal. I would definitelyorder this again for a filling meal. I ordered a vegetarian meal that didn't just feel like a bunch of sides thrown together butrather a well orchestrated and balanced plate. The food came out quickly and the service was attentive without being pushy. Read more

We were walking the Plaza and decided to stop by True Food. It is a nice place and the staff were friendly and helpful. The... food was awesome and fresh. We will definitely go back. If I had to be critical on one point, it was an expensive lunch. About$80 without a tip. But good food is worth it. Read more

This place feels so modern and fresh from the decor to the food. So many of the plaza restaurants feel stuffy with tired menus.... This place feels exciting and updated! Loved the goat cheese flatbread & the prickly pear sparkling drink (not too sweet, soyummy). Usually, I don’t like spending money at restaurants because I feel like I can make something better at home for waycheaper; however, this food felt worth the money and the trip! Read more

There is a portion of the menu that rotates by season at True Food Kitchen. We visited in the winter. We had Charred Cauliflower... and Edamame Dumplings for appetizers and both were terrific! My friend had the Spicy Panang Curry and really enjoyed it. Sheremarked it was refreshing as something different to order than what you normally see. The Turkey Burger called my name which Igot with the hash as my side. The burger was dry and the hash was so over-cooked I sent it back. I got the Tuscan Kale Saladinstead and it was good but be warned it is *very* garlicky! We tried two desserts, the Squash Pie and Flourless ChocolateCake. The pie is muted and really nothing special. The cake was tasty. We had a cocktail and a glass of wine, both were tasty. This location has indoor and outdoor seating. The entrance and restroom are both accessible. Parking is street parking (also afree garage nearby). We had the most wonderful server. She's been there a few years and was very enthusiastic about the menu. Read more
