This little gem is underrated. Appetizers and drinks are phenomenal. We never got to taste their entrées but we had so many... appetizers and OH MY! The fusion flavors are so well rounded and amazing. Kim professionally waited on us and made us some MEANcocktails ???? We also loved the charming ambience and the music. We plan to revisit for sure. First time to Voltaire and it was great. We had 5pm reservations on a Saturday and there were only two other groups there. The... bar was completely open, which is great to know for the future. However, by 5:30, the place was starting to fill up. We visitedfor their 4-6pm happy hour. Great deals on drinks (loved the Paloma). However, the food specials were amazing. The $8 musselswere so good and we received quite a large bowl. The hummus plate was great. The beet and walnut hummus had so much flavor. Theoysters were also good and an excellent deal for $2 an oyster. We were pretty full after the appetizers and didn?t have achance to try any of the entrees. We will definitely be back to try more! Really disappointed. Food, drinks and service all sub par. Really liked the decor. Sent back the first drink I ordered, a... Paloma. 2nd drink unique and good. Really liked my cab. Waitress was attentive but each drink order took 10 min., and shedidn?t have any good recommendations for picks of apps or meals. Tamales weren?t good and had a foul smell. My duck was OK andthe gnocchi was super salty. Husbands steak had too much going on and couldn?t taste the steak flavor. The corn that came withit was a joke and our waitress said the same and spoke to the fact that the chef wouldn?t listen to her feedback to change theprep of the corn. Sorry to say, Won?t be back. Small plates place with great drinks and lots of creative menu options. I had a beet cocktail that was outstanding! Menu... highlights were the bass dish, and the curry aioli for the fries. The mushroom dish was great in concept but the mushroomsweren't cooked quite enough. Service was extremely attentive and friendly. Would definitely make another visit! Read more
My husband and I went to Voltaire for the first time last night. We enjoyed the hummus, frites, oysters and cocktails from the... happy hour menu - it was all delish!
