Reviews for Thai Lao Restaurant in Kapolei, HI
Food was very good. Usually when I ask for very hot/spicy I am dissappointed at most places. Thai Lao delivered on the spicy so... if you like hot then come here. Read more
I give them 4.5 stars. Flavors were good and authentic. Decent portions and price but i do have complaints. I was never asked... how spicy i wanted the dishes and they came out with no spice but thats not a problem i just requested some chili flakes. Theyactually charge you extra to get the food "thai spicy" and then even more for "lao spicy" which is weird to me. Sticky rice wasan extra $3.50 which is fine but the rice was very yellow indicating it is not fresh. Oahu has better Thai food in general thanall of the other islands. This place is good but service is so so. I would still come here again for the flavors though. TheThai Tea was good also. Not watered down and full of flavor. Read more
If you're on this side of the island and want somewhat authentic Thai, this might be your only option. The flavors were solid... enough but just don't expect fresh food. In addition, expect to pay $3.50 for 2 scoops of rice. just Read more
Great depth of flavor in all of our dishes. Fantastic all around.
I was happily chowing down on my Chicken Pad Thai then i realized I was chewing on a piece of an egg shell
Good, clean place. We got the pad thai, Americanized- good for kids. The tamarind soup was interesting w raised for mussels and... shrimp but got calamari and 2 shrimp, it was fine, we left it out. Papaya salad was awesome, we got medium and it was quitespicy. Larb gai was my fave, they made it mild, smaller portion. Tip was included, which is fine and makes senses as no onechecked on us:) maybe I should have. Tried my usual red curry! Read more
The flavor of the basil fried rice was great, but the egg was very strange. It was thick and chunky. I?ve never had fried rice... with eggs like this. I?m hoping it was a mistake Read more
Just Not the Same Flavors! I ordered take out last week and was disappointed with the food. I ordered Tum Yum Soup, Stuffed... Chicken Wings with Peanut butter sauce, and Pork Pad Thai Noodles, Jasmine rice. The flavors were off. They must have changedcooks. The Stuffed Chicken Wings were dry and Peanut butter sauce was not the same. The Pork Pad Thai Noodles taste had alsochanged and was not appealing to taste. I ordered Jasmine Rice and received Cal Rose Rice. One thing for sure their price hadincrease and the flavor was lacking. I don't think I will be ordering again and will not recommend Thai Lao Restaurant tofriends either. Read more
