The best bookshop/coffee shop around! Reminds me of the Shop Around the Corner from You?ve Got Mail! Lovely in-town,... family-owned small business and great customer service. Year round ice cream for the kiddos and they?ll order any book you needif you just DM them. Great small, unique kids gift section too! Such a sweet bookshop and coffee shop. I asked if they had a book in stock and when they said they didn?t, twice they offered to... order it for me to enjoy. Also, the chai tea I ordered was DELICIOUS and the baristas so kindly made it more flavorful for meafter our lovely conversation. Literally the nicest people. So glad this place exists! Read more
That kind of place one hopes to find when you are away for a long weekend in a quaint town. The kind of place full of... treats/great food & coffee (and ice cream!) for the body and soul. And Books!! - Art supplies, small toys and stickers, all thestuff one loves to browse and poke around. Where you find that great present for your best friend or that little something foryour kids - that's unique and perfect. Where they can recommend a book, because they've read them, or where you happily start adiscussion with the person next to you about a book you love. Sit on the porch, chat with a friend, eat, drink, or read yourbook, or people watch as the small town goes by. Multiply the good feelings by knowing you are supporting a store that engagesthe community with book clubs and other events! The reading room is a staple in katonah and offers one of the best cups of coffee in town! The staff is always incredibly... helpful. We love sitting on the front porch with the kids and eating ice cream or enjoying coffee and a snack together. Read more
Katonah Reading Room is the Crown Jewel of Katonah. It is my absolute favorite place in town and I'm so grateful they've... survived the pandemic! Part cafe, part bookstore, part so much more! Their book selection is always thoughtfully and beautifullycurated and they also have a dazzling array of toys and art supplies. They have the best coffee, the best pastries, the besttoasts & salads, and the best candy selection! But most importantly, they have THE friendliest staff who are always smiling andhappy to see you. Their front porch has thoughtfully placed benches and overlooks the most beautiful flower garden. Grab a book,grab a coffee, grab a pistachio twist (trust me!) and take a seat or enjoy on the go. This place has a really cute vibe, however the cafe part of this establishment is just lacking unfortunately. No indoor seating,... or a even a small place to sit to enjoy a good read. It felt odd given the name ?reading room?. No public wi-fi, and notconducive to enjoy a good read and do some work. Read more
Wonderful, charming, sunflower-surrounded bookstore. So well staffed, friendly, knowledgeable and no long waits for anything.... Excellent selection of graphic novels (my 8 year old was in heaven!) and found the perfect gift for a 6 year old Spider-Man fan.Delicious milkshake and beautiful front porch to enjoy it on.
