A decent Mexican restaurant. The restaurant itself is well decorated and very spacious. A good party venue for sure; however... the food was a bit disappointing. While it was flavorful, it doesn't stand out to me and isn't worth the price. On top of that, the Carne asada was a burnt. The best part about the food was the guacamole that was made fresh. Great food. Especially their combo plates and Menudo
El Jarrito was a great experience. The food was so good! The service was amazing as well. We had enchiladas, queso flameado,... chips, warm salsa.... all spectacular. The place was very clean, nicely decorated and the bathrooms were clean. This is more onthe traditional side than tex-mex. If that's what you're looking for, I highly recommend El Jarrito. Read more
El Jarrito has been one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the Katy area for years. We went on their busiest day of the year,... Cinco de Mayo. The place was packed and despite having a small wait for our order to be delivered to the table, everything wasgreat. As I said, it was busy, the wait does not matter to me. We went for Christmas eve dinner and they were fairly busy but there was no wait to get seated. You get chips and three... different types of salsa while you wait which tasted very good. They do offer the regular tex mex like tamales, tacos andfajitas. I went with one of the house specials which was bacon wrapped meat stuffed jalapenos. It was fantastic I woulddefinitely order this again. You want to go hungry because the portions are quite large. There was a little bit of a gapbetween ordering and receiving the order but as most places now they seemed short staffed. Read more
It used to be good, not sure why it is now low quality. I?m sorry I?m really disappointed. This stuff looked like frozen food... that was warmed up and then drenched in their oils.the rice looks like they tried to put orange food coloring. Before I placedthe fork in my mouth I smelled it and it stank like dirty gym socks I lost my appetite then. I apologize for this as I do notlike to leave bad reviews. Consistently overcharged for drinks. I ordered a margarita and specifically asked for it to be regular, not top shelf. It was... good, but we later found out that we were charged almost $16!!!! Food is decent, but we can?t afford to pay such prices fordrinks. We?re currently looking for a new place for our three times weekly Mexican food fix. Read more
