I don't know how this place have 4.5 rating, would like to think they do better usually and today was just a bad day. Ordered... their popcorn chicken, corn cheese and spicy and parmesan fries only good thing were the spicy fry. Chicken were dry and chewyall the way. Cheese corn were blend. Below average food for Katy. There are better places to be at and will be avoiding thisplace in future Read more

I?ll start w the bad. Coleslaw was boring. So was the soy garlic sauce for the fried chicken. Other than that, everything was... perfect and I can?t wait to try more. My favorite thing was the fries with added bulgogi and the pickled radishes. Read more

If you love incredibly crunchy and juicy Korean fried chicken, very flavorful seasonings and sauces, and addicting fries,... Hoodadak is a must-try! We have tried both their Westheimer and Katy locations, and they are both excellent. The restaurantfeels very casual and cozy, with a few references to South Korea on the walls and a line of beers on tap behind the orderingcounter. Space is a little limited here compared to their 2-story Westheimer location but still decent. We have tried theirhalf chicken and chicken wings in two flavors: soy-garlic and spicy. All the food is always made-to-order so it comes to youpiping hot (we practically burn ourselves every time because we can't stop eating), but that does mean it also typically takes20-30 minutes so be patient. It's all definitely worth the wait. From the 4 times we have visited, the chicken is consistentlycrunchy and juicy, the fries have a crisp exterior and soft inside, and everything is perfectly seasoned. The soy-garlic sauceis addicting, definitely our favorite flavor. The spicy seasoning is great and actually quite spicy similar to/slightly spicierthan Nongshim ramen packets. Esther and I are a little divided by the sauces that come with the chicken: I thought that thespicy mayo sauce and ranch are good but nothing special, mostly for adding some extra moisture but the food is seasoned so wellyou don't really need it. Esther found them a great complement to the meal. Read more
