There are more coffee shops than I can keep track of. I think that’s true anywhere, but it seems even truer in the Houston... area and surrounding suburbs. I like when I can find something different from the usual chain store operations and one I havevisited and liked is Long Coffee in Katy.\n\nLooking at the menu at Long Coffee, one will find iced coffee drinks, hot coffeedrinks, hot and cold tea drinks, frozen drinks, etc. If you feel like a snack, they serve a few different pastries. If yourappetite is a little stronger, you can get a ham and cheese croissant, fettucine alfredo, butterfly shrimp, popcorn chicken, andother similar options.\n\nOne thing that is a little different here is the number of hot coffee drinks. Long Coffee has morechoices than other coffee shops, most of which tend to stick with cold drinks. If I’m going for a hot drink, the salted coffeelatte is a favorite. The hot jasmine green tea is nice as well. If I want something cold- and sweet- the frozen cookies andcream is a good choice.\n\nLong Coffee is ordinary on the interior. You will find tables and chairs for groups, plus the usualupholstered chairs for greater comfort, perfect for eating, drinking, and one- on- one conversation. If the weather is right,sitting outdoors on the front patio is a good option. Again, nothing exceptional in terms of atmosphere, but certainlycomfortable.\n\nI love a good coffee shop and Long Coffee in Katy is a good option for those who have grown tired of the better-known chain coffee shops and want something different. I like this place. It has some unique promise to it that other coffee shops don’t have.\n\nIt’s offering of teas and milk... tea and other great Asian influences is awesome. It was very exciting.\n\nI was disappointed when I stepped through the door forthe first time. I was hit with a blast of chemical smell. The location was immaculately cleaned, but I couldn’t smell thecoffee. That is all I wanted, but I had floor cleaner stuck in my nose. The smell dissipated while we were drinking and beingwith friends, but wasn’t what I wanted to experience.\n\nThe coffee was good. No complaints here. If they can find a way tocreate that attractive smell and ambiance, all would be well and this rating would bump up! Read more
Very friendly staff, HUGE portions! Hot food was surprisingly tasty for a coffee shop. Got 2 large smoothies, 1... large-strong-amazing coffee, popcorn chicken, seasoned fries and shrimp fettucine alfredo plus a fancy brownie for $40. Clean eating space. And very clean restrooms! Coffee lover in me if so happy to have a Vietnamese iced coffee closer to my home.... Don’t get me wrong I do love going to chinatown for my favorite viet iced coffee; but it is nice that I have it here at hometoo. Especially on days like today where it’s raining so bad. Drive thru, easy parking, internet connection, and great service. They would warm up your bakery too. The banana walnut muffin... and the kolache was really delicious. They have Vietnamese coffee and even boba tea here. Lots of outdoor seating. Read more
