I originally wanted to go somewhere else for our anniversary dinner, but my husband talked me into coming here. We drove almost... 2 hours to get to this area, and believe me when I say I will make the drive JUST to come back to this restaurant! We decided todo the "Feed Me", which is similar to a tasting menu. It was SO much food for two people (we were expecting a bunch of tinydishes to try), and everything was cooked perfectly. This was an absolutely fantastic culinary experience. Parking was extremely easy and available. There was a 30 minute wait... during peak time without a reservation so we had a few bottles of sake. Once we were seated Amanda was our waitress and she wasextremely attentive, helpful, and genuinely pleasant! We ordered the calamari to start and it was great. We then did the "feedme" option which is $48/ person for multiple chef/staff choices based off your preferences and curated to what you enjoy. It wasan absolute perfect explosion of flavour & spice in all the best ways. (Pictures attached) Thank you to Amanda for taking greatcare of us and I look forward to coming back. I had heard so many good things about this restaurant so was excited to try it. It did not disappoint! We started with the... roti canai. It was warm and crispy and the curry dipping sauce was amazing. The beef rendang was so incredibly tender andflavorful. Despite all of the rave reviews about the Hainanese chicken, this was my least favorite dish. The flavor of sesamewas very strong and the dipping sauces were not the best. The chicken lacked flavor even though it was drenched in soy andsesame sauce. I wouldn't order that dish again but will definitely come back to try some other dishes. The service was alsogreat. We had an incredible meal today. We sat at the bar and has the best service. We did the meal where we had two appetizers and 4... entrees. The Feed me option. Went here on a double date with friends and we loved it! Our waitress was super friendly and gave us so many great... recommendations. You have to try the roti canai. It was amazing. Literally one of the greatest dining experiences I may have had in last 5 years. And I’m not even exaggerating. Truly... everything Marvin recommended was utterly perfection and the flavors like nothing else. I could actually drink the curry, sowhen Marvin suggested I pour it atop my jasmine rice it was a total game changer. Definitely excited to try their next venturecoming soon in just a few weeks because if it’s anywhere near the atmosphere that I experienced here at Phat Eatery-I’m in,sign me up! Read more
