The food was simply amazing and well seasoned. Place was very clean. The staff were incredibly warm and kind, even my friends... who never tried Malaysian food before kept remarking about how good the food was and the great service they provided. We orderedNasi Lemak, Noodle Soup (Yee Mee), Roti Canai and Chicken Curry with rice. As a Malaysian myself, I can attest that the foodhere definitely reminded me of home in Malaysia. If you're ever in the area, don't miss out on this gem of a place! 10/10recommend. Read more

Any time we miss the taste of Malaysian food, we visit here. The owners are quite friendly and make us feel welcomed. The food... is always fresh and flavorful. Wait times are little long, but they are short staff and there’s a sign stating this at thedoor. Read more

This place is incredible!! The food is so good. A truly special place. After I went I had to go back the same week. I want to... try everything. The man who's cooking really makes it feel like you're eating out of his kitchen. And the service is alsoincredible. It looks like they used to be a little bit slower but they have definitely fixed that. It's not the fastest, butit's not slow and you're getting homemade Malaysian cuisine. Read more

After reading a few reviews on Google about Uncle Chin's Kitchen and noticing that some were good and others not, we decided to... go over and check it out on our own. We had a huge craving for Hainan Chicken Rice and it seemed like the right place to go. Asyou enter this little gem, the smell will welcome you, and if you know the flavors and smells of Malaysian/Singapore food, youwill feel right at home. Our Hainanese Chicken Rice was so good that we enjoyed every bite of it. The owner of this restaurantis so nice that he even offered additional rice at no extra cost. On this, our first visit, we had to finish our meal with aMalaysian Teh Tarik (Milk Tea). After a few weeks traveling and returning to Houston, we had to go back. Then with our Char KueyTeow and Nasi Lemak cravings, it was once again the perfect place to go. The owner and chef came to make conversation with uswith his very friendly attitude and authentic smile. I asked him for some chicken broth with my meal and he gladly included asmall portion. Later, after our meal, he came out and gave us two chocolate ice cream pops, a very generous thing to do not onlyfor us, but we saw him also give some to other customers while waiting for the to-go orders. Once we paid for our meal, westarted talking to him about Laksa and he mentioned that he also had prepared on that day for special orders and offered to giveus a sample of it for free. We can only say that we had a great experience at this place and we cannot recommend it enough forthose looking for an authentic Malaysian food experience. We left happy and hope the very best for Uncle Chin's Kitchen to dovery well for a very long time. We will return at some point. Read more

This is probably the best authentic Malaysian restaurant in Houston. The chicken satay, the Hainan chicken and the ABC dessert... is the most authentic dishes that brings back memories of my time in Malaysia when I eat them. The satay and chicken are supermoist and full of flavor. The trio of sauces for the chicken just adds to the flavor profile. The chicken curry is also good. The gravy is thicker and would be good to dip into with a roti. The Sambal fish is unique to Malaysia and interesting to try. Atthe end of your meal the ABC dessert is a must. It shaved iced flavored with evaporated milk, syrup and topped with green jelly, grass jelly, red bean and corn. It’s sounds weird but once you’ve had it you’ll want more. For true Malaysia food comehere. I plan on coming back to try the char kuah tiew. Update: Ate the Char Kuah Teow and it’s the real deal.
