The bone-in pork chop was especially good - and I love... hand-cut fries - but then the whiskey cake dessert was so ridiculously tasty that it took it all to a whole new level. We had a lovely family lunch here this past weekend. The chicken and waffles are amazing. My husband loved them. I had the... grilled chicken sandwich which was good but almost had too much going on! Wish I had got the chicken and waffles as well. Willsay it was a nice place and good food. It is a bit pricey outside of sandwiches. Also, to be so new the seats are peeling andfalling apart on the booths. Looks a bit dirty. Upside, they burn their own candles which smell amazing! Read more
Amazing staff, atmosphere, decor, food, drinks, basically everything was amazing! The highlight is obviously their namesake... Whiskey Cake. It is very rich and delicious, but this is probably something you should share with someone as the portion size isgenerous. The Chicken and Waffles, Deviled Eggs, and Farmer's Breakfast are all excellent choices for brunch (all made fromorganic, locally sourced ingredients). Read more
This was my first time coming here. I haven't lived in Katy since 1997, so a group of friends decided to meet up here for brunch... while i was in town. I got the Farmhouse Benedict and was very happy with my choice! The sauce was delicious, food tasted fresh,serving size was perfect. Then of course I had to try the whiskey cake, after all, they named the restaurant after it. It didnot disappoint, I enjoyed every single bite! My sister in law introduced me to this place and we've been hooked ever since. We usually order the whiskey cake when we're in... town. It was warm, and delicious. I can't write about it much because you just have to taste it yourself. It's not overly sweeteither, unless you put the whipped cream and extra glaze on there. I am not a big dessert girl, so it's fine as is. My kids andhusband love the extra fixings though. I decided to try their deviled eggs, and they're the reason for the missing star becausethey were extremely salty OMG. The minute it touches your tongue, it's a shocker. I took one bite and could not eat the wholething. My husband tried the other half and spit it out. None of us have high blood pressure, sensitivity to salt, or issues withflavor. These were just plain salty and lacked flavor. They were chicken salad deviled eggs and I wish we would have just stuckwith the cake. My sis in law told me to make a complaint, but I don't send food back, and we took our order to go so I couldn'ttell the waiter. Other than that, I would definitely go back and I would recommend Whiskey Cake. Read more
Can we say everything was down right delicious!!!!!! Service was At i believe our waiter was Jordan or John(my apologizes... can’t remember), he was one of the best waiters I’ve ever had. We were asking him million and one questions!!! The food wassoooooooo delicious from bacon, fried green tomatoes, duck wings, cheese fondue, and everything else. The drink selection waseven better! The atmosphere of the restaurant was really good. We went to dinner on weekdays and there were a lot of people. I thought I'd... better make a reservation and go. We were five people, including a three-year-old child, and the table was a little narrow forfood because it was a four-person seat. The food was delicious overall and perfect. 10/10!! First time here, and let me just sat everything was amazing! From the moment u walk in, to the moment you walk out.... LaShondria was our server and she was SO nice & attentive. Food was no surprise, amazing and freshly prepared. We also tried thewhisky cake for dessert and it was just as expected. It had so many good, sweet flavors. Def.
