I wish this place was good. We went today for lunch. And our food wasn?t fresh. We ordered a sandwich and soup. The sandwich was... nothing special and the soup.. I am pretty sure comes from a can. We also got a raspberry cinnamon roll and it wasn?t fresh.. sosoggy and didn?t have any flavor. Read more

DELISH!!! I met a friend for lunch here today, to try it out for the first time. There were several groups of people dining in... the restaurant, so I could tell it was a well-liked place. While eating and visiting, I noticed a steady flow of people pickingup orders, coming in to buy bread, or staying for a meal. I am taking the time to write this review because I want others toknow it is definitely a winner! I can hardly wait to go back!! I wish I had taken a pic of my amazing sandwich to share with youall. Mmmm!!! 5 stars from this Foodie!!! Taste and price are perfect! Friendly staff too!! Great job Old Grist!! See you againvery soon!! Read more

Oh this place? looks obscure? don?t let that fool you. I was in the mood for a good, hearty, delicious, homemade bread sandwich... and that?s what I got! At a great price. I had a full sandwich, chips and a fountain drink for less than $8. They make, use andsell their breads here. Yum! But they offer so much more!! Cookies, seasonal quick breads, scones and breakfast!!! No morefast food or Starbucks pre made food. This is made to order on fresh bread?.oh yeahhhhh I?ll be back in a few weeks when theweather cools for their daily soups! Andddd? not a cramped little shop. Plenty of seating so go and enjoy your food freshthere! Read more

Simple, fresh sandwiches or soup. I had a grilled club sandwich on multi grain bread. There was nothing fancy or complex about... the sandwich. It was well priced and tasted good. The combo came with a bag of Lay's, a cookie, and a soft drink. The chocolatechip cookie was over cooked, but other than that, I enjoyed my meal. Restrooms were clean and the staff was pleasant. I wouldnot hesitate to eat here again. Read more

This is a favorite of my wife and I for soup. Especially if one of us isn't feeling well. The soup we've tried has always been... delicious, the servers friendly and the atmosphere inviting. If you are a fan of places like the soup kitchen in SLC you willlike this place. Read more

Fantastic fresh soups and sandwiches. Prices are great. For seven bucks got a sandwich, bag of chips, dessert, and a soft... drink! I would definitely go back as the place was clean and had a very large diverse menu. Also the staff was very friendlyand accommodating. Read more

I've heard they've been around a long time, but growing up in the Salt Lake Valley I've never been here. I'm very pleased with... my visit. The good menu here was great. My friend and I tried the paninis (turkey bacon pesto and chicken bacon ranch) and forbeing just a sandwich the flavor was worth it. We tried the soup combo and the cheesy potato soup was rich and tasty. We triedboth of their sweet rolls (cinnamon and raspberry). Both were good, but the raspberry was my favorite. Everyone was nice andhelpful with the menu. I bought my favorite sourdough bread and it was soft and flavorful. I'll definitely be going back forbread, lunch, desserts, and their frozen soup bags they sell of their soups they serve. Thank you everyone. Read more
