My husband suggested a date night here, and I was thrilled because I had heard such wonderful things. We are early birds so we... chose a 5pm reservation time. We arrived early so we could see the property, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the goats andwalking around a very pretty setting. We were treated very warmly by the staff, and were seated in a lovely room while beingtold the history of the home. Unfortunately, the food was not up to par. While I found it to be decent, it wasn't the amazingexperience I was told about by professional reviewers. For my husband, it was an awful experience. I have eaten at many smallplate establishments, so while I expected small portions, these were genuinely tiny. Unfortunately, they also weren't cookedwell. The purpose of small bites is to have high quality ingredients cooked superbly. This particular menu was not cooked wellor with great flavor. While many of the items were presented beautifully, there was no flavor, no heart, and the presentationoften made them overly difficult to eat. It was so overthought, it was almost ridiculous. The charcuterie board was delicious, though I question why we were given a block of very hard cheese that had not been crumbled or shaved. The non-alcoholic drinkmenu was very limited which was harder for my husband to stomach than I. I chose to have a glass of sparkling wine, and it wasquite nice. The set menu was heavy on things that are generally divisive, like olives, radishes, and beets, which are things Iquite like, but my husband loathes. So immediately, he was not enthusiastic. This could be blamed on him not looking closer atthe available menu online, but honestly the menu lacks detail, it doesn't even properly describe the food we were served. Thebiggest disappointment for my husband was the pork belly. I had a bite of it, and I concur with his assessment that it was bad.It was very small and thin, and it had zero flavor. It tasted like it had been overcooked in a skillet. M Read more

We came briefly, to buy cheese, and will definitely be back in warmer weather, or whenever there bottle babies to "ooh" and... "ahh" over! The cheese and jam we bought were just amazing! Read more

The perfect spot for an elegant dinner! We had wine and appetizers on the Terrace before we went inside for our dinner... reservation. Take the time to silence your phone and enjoy the peaceful experience at Elderslie. Wish I did the wine pairings, but enjoyed my glass of Cab. Instead! Read more

A lovely little haven in Kansas. I'm not from Sedgwick, and just happened on this place by chance (I messed up some reservations... on my trip and stumbled into Kansas). In any case, the grounds are beautiful and well kept, their self-made goat cheese wasdelicious, the charcuterie board was an eye to behold, and the ambiance was serene. This place was a gem, and I hope to be backsomeday! Not to mention, if you plan on proposing to your partner, this is the spot (it worked out for me and mine)! Read more

Hands down this is the best restaurant in the Wichita area. Upon arrival to Elderslie we were transported to the California... countryside. Our culinary journey started outside with a few delicious appetizers and a gorgeous sunset. After the sun saidit’s final goodbye we moved into the main house where things only got better. The ambiance is what other restaurants hope toachieve, beautiful mixed woods with royal blue walls and simple elegant centerpieces on the tables. Throughout the night I keptreminding myself that we weren’t in Napa or Sonoma. The wine they pair with each course was perfectly balanced to complimentthe flavors of each bite. The food is simple, FRESH, and like no where else around. If you don’t believe food can be art, youwill after Elderslie Farm. Simply put, you’re missing out if you decide to skip this place. Read more
