It was good, food was yummy and well made. The weird part was we ordered two fries. . . Only recieved one. . .when we asked for... the second one, the young man at the counter apologized. . .and got the second one, and then told us he forgot to charge us forit, when we were leaving. . .and basically made us feel like we had stolen the fries?! Love this place! My husband and I went for the first time had a wonderful experience. The cashier educated us on the different... coffees and let us try a few samples before we ordered. Very nice and friendly people. I have a hard time finding places thatcarry salt bagels, and I was happy to find out this place did! The mackinaw blend is my favorite! The food was great! I really enjoyed the service, they made me feel at home. Their toasted sandwiches are really good, and... everything is made fresh there. The coffee is fantastic, and they use locally sourced products from Michigan. This is the onlyplace I've ever been to, that I wasn't charged extra for a non-dairy alternative. The only thing I really have to say that isnegative, is that when I visited around lunchtime, nearly all of the parking spots were taken, but no one was inside dining. Somaybe they should be a little more strict about customer designated parking, because I had to park all the way behind therestaurant, and was blocked in by a delivery truck when it came. Wonderful little coffee shop. The atmosphere is great with Michigan photos on the wall and serving Michigan coffee. Staff is... extremely friendly and you get the sense they don't consider work a chore. Delicious bagels. The sandwiches are served to yourtable and the special treat is the cute fruit garnish they have on the side. Found a new regular coffee spot. Read more
I'm a world traveler and I've tasted many different types and brands of coffee from around the globe. I was very impressed with... the Great Lakes Coffee they served. Some may say it's a bit over priced, I say you can't put a price on quality! The home madesoups and sandwiches are delicious and the portions were generous. The employee who waited on me, I believe his name was David,was very knowledgeable and made some great suggestions the first few times I visited. Great job on training your staff!!! Great owners and great staff. The food is gourmet at reasonable prices. I am partial to the sandwiches and the chicken pot... pie. I am not a coffee drinker but my wife tells me that the coffee is great. A great place for any meal. Read more
