I know it's odd but I judge professional bbq competitions around the country (Pitmasters) and I know every style is different,... but for my taste, J Bird is OUTSTANDING !!! Hugely disappointed with food at Jbird! I had to ask server to affirm one of our dishes was Pulled Pork, so tasteless & dry we... couldn?t eat it. Fried Chicken (which was the last dish to come out) overcooked & DRY. Ribs with sauce?B-. The brisket varied inslice quality between decent to tough & dry C+. Cornbread..a joke, tasted stale & dry D- (the worst I?ve ever had). The onlything that looked and tasted very good is the Smoked Turkey & sweet potato fries. Let?s not forget it took 50 minutes for thefood to start arriving (after I told them we were leaving in 5 min). It?s frikken BBQ, slice the meat etc. The only thing thatis cooked to order was fried chicken & fries. Jeremy the owner is supposed to be a great chef but you?d NEVER know it by what?sserved at his one & only restaurant. The cook offered us free dessert but honestly 50% off the $88 bill would have been moreappropriate. Read more
The service was gr8 I asked the waiter for some of his fav foods I got the jaybird burger it was amazing! Super loved it. Will... be going back again. Tried the rum bread with ice cream the bread was good but super alcohol tasting loved the I've cream withit tho. All n all good place to hang out with friends and eat some good tuckka (food). Great dishes and service. The smoked salmon and brisket are amazing. The smoked salmon is possibly the most delicious salmon... I've ever had. The pulled pork and st louis ribs didn't seem very fresh, however. They do have a mustard sauce, which is great;but it's a sweet variation with Dijon mustard, meaning pretty much all of the sauces are on the sweeter side. Read more
My husband and I ordered to go for the first time a few weeks ago for our anniversary dinner. We ended up getting the family... meal for two which was an insane amount of food and all of it was delicious. I don't think there was a single thing we orderedthat we didn't enjoy. Visited for the first time today and we already can't wait to come back! Everything was absolutely delicious. Best onion rings I... think I've ever had. The cocktails were awesome and the food just as fantastic. All of the BBQ sauces we tried were great andeverything that others ordered looked incredible. Overall an awesome dining experience. I was hired by Doordash to photograph some of Jeremy's dishes. As you can see, they are in to-go containers. They usually... present their dishes on cafeteria trays. I am a fan of this restaurant as well as his former restaurant, Jeremy's. He is verytalented and the SMOKED meats are perfect all the time! Be careful with the Nashville Hot Chicken! It is a little too spicy formy taste but all the other dishes are sooo good. Please try all of their sauces. I am sure you will ultimately find yourfavorite. Great outdoor seating too.
