AWEMAZING!!!! From start to finish. Pros: 1. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! Entire restaurant, store is pristine. Huge first impression.... (and my #1 critique for a restaurant) 2. The customer base, locals who are obviously regulars are just downright wholesome,clean "good ole boys". Polite, pleasant, watched them clean and wipe off their tables before leaving. They know. 3.Wonderfully friendly down-to-earth staff. 4. FOOD: Generous portions and made-to-order food, yep, ya gotta wait on it to befixed but so worth the wait (not fast food, this is the food your granny would've cooked) DEELISH~ 5. I stop in whenever I am passing through to get to Nicholasville. The last time I was in, my guest and I had a country ham... sandwich that hits the spot. We were in Nicholasville and looking for a local place to have lunch. Dixie Cafe is just a few miles from Nicholasville and near... the intersection of Keene Rd and Harrodsburg Rd in Jessamine County. This place is amazing! Everything on the menu looked great.We asked some of the locals what was good and all of them said that their breakfast was amazing as well as their lunch items.For me, it was a tough decision between the 1/3 pound burger or the daily special which was the chili dog, fries and a drink. Ihad the chili dog and it was delicious. Great chili on the dog and the fries were good and crispy. We will definitely returnhere again and again when we are in the area. A short trip off the main road in Keene, but definitely worth the drive! A+++ Read more
