Had an awesome meal at The Village Pump last Friday. The place was packed, yet our service was super fast. I had the perch... sandwich (huge, delicious, just awesome) and my son had their chicken tenders and fries. Per him: these are really good chickentenders. The fries just need some salt. The Village Pump is a good place to eat. Popular with locals and visitors alike, The Village Pump offers a quiet reprieve from... island life as well as a good variety of beer on tap. Prices are higher, but that's to be expected. Portions are generous, sothey're a good value for the price. I ordered the well regarded Perch Tacos. My wife ordered the shrimp basket. My tacos werelarge, with generous servings of Lake Erie perch. This was accompanied by salsa, lettuce and a chipotle mayo that united allthe ingredients. The shrimp basket my wife ordered was good and met expectations. It was standard breaded butterfly shrimp witha mound of fries. Good, but not exceptional. Overall: if you're looking for a good, non tourist-y place to grab a draft and asandwich, The Village Pump is for you. Prices are higher, but the portions justify it. Definitely recommend. Read more
Great food! Too bad my family got food poisoning from the perch, it was really good tho so I didn't mind. Walleye bites were... great, really needs fried pickles on the menu, it's a bar staple really but thats just my opinion. Read more

The Village Pump on Kelly's Island makes one of the best Brandy Alexander's I've ever had! It's a quaint bar and restaurant... located right in the downtown area! It's on our list stops when we are on the island! Read more
Had the Brandy Alexander, which I didn't know was a thing and now I do! Get at least the half pitcher (and share) to get it... properly. Hilary was our waitress and she was fantastic! She loves to sing so lead her into song with a mention of an oldie likeEarth Angels, and she can't help herself from singing! We also had the best perch I've had in years, but didn't take apicture. On vacation with my sister and nephew and we decided to visit Kelly Island. We took a chance on choosing this restaurant. I wish... I could remember the wonderful waitress who greeted us and gave us great picks on what too order. I wish I would've taken apictures of the big delicious salad my nephew ordered. And me and my sister both ordered the Turkey club sandwich I got onionrings she got the fries. Lastly the restaurant has there own tshirts that are cute and funny. Read more
